Rene earned her BA degree from UCLA in Mathematics and her MBA from Claremont Gr
aduate School, where she studied under Peter Drucker. Currently, Rene is enroll
ed in a PhD program in Public Safety - Criminal Justice with a concentration in
Homeland Security at Capella.
Rene has 25 years experience with IBM in Project Management and Business Strateg
y consulting. In 1985, Rene joined IBM as a Networking Systems Engineer and ros
e to the prestigious ranks of IBM Scientist. She has managed projects and provi
ded business consulting with numerous accounts including Nissan, Boeing, Kaiser
Permanente, Cedars Sinai Medical Center, and Southern California Edison. Rene h
elp to design and train players on the Player Laptop Program for the PGA Tour an
d she also designed the PGA's first intranet. As part of the Media and Sports In
dustry she served as a Senior Client Representative at Disney. Rene was an awar
d winning instructor teaching Flash and Advanced web design at UCLA Extension.
She has been a guest speaker in Japan, the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce, and
with UCI's "Let's Talk Business and More."
