DYNAMIC OBJECT ORIENTED REQUIREMENTS SYSTEM (DOORS) EXPERTISE:
- Database Administration. - Process Development.
DOORS DATABASE MANAGEMENT RESULTS:
- Responsible for making a large (25 gigabyte) DOORS database available and func
tioning correctly as the database administrator.
- Developed database structures for the DOORS database.
- Created processes for incorporating new projects into the database and assessi
ng their impact.
- Planned and helped deploy new versions of the DOORS database.
- Assigned users to groups and granted database rights and privileges to groups.
- Assisted in DOORS client installations by troubleshooting problems.
- Supported projects by showing how to import / export data, how to allocate req
uirements, and how to connect to other DOORS databases.
- Supported Project Management in managing supplier requirements by migrating da
ta to and from the supplier.
DOORS TRAINING RESULTS:
- Trained 364 Students in use of the DOORS database. 94% of Students found DOOR
S training relevant to their Job. Created a database to track training.
- As the training point of contact, answered questions and solved user problems
for the DOORS database.
- Developed and taught a class on new features in the DOORS database after an up
grade from 7.1 to 8.2.
- Developed and presented a DOORS database overview for prospective projects on
its purpose and capabilities.
- Taught the Enterprise DOORS Basic and Advanced curriculum in the classroom and
virtually.
- Traveled to a Supplier to teach DOORS and to support requirements management.

DATABASE EXPERTISE:
- Database Design / Implementation. - Database Reports. - Database Admin
istration. .LRU REMOVALS/REJECTIONS DATABASE RESULTS:
- Designed and implemented an Access database for analysis and corrective action
of Line Replaceable Unit failures. Devised and created database structures of
tables and elements.
- Exported Line Replaceable Unit failure data to a web-based Oracle database.
- Collaboration, design and implementation of the Access interface for collectin
g, analyzing, and reporting of failures of Line Replaceable Units.
- Adapted Line Replaceable Unit database by adding new tables, queries, reports,
macros, and by updating ODBC links to data.
- Developed totals Access queries and did trend analysis to identify Line Replac
eable Units needing corrective action. Presented the trend analysis by creating
charts to display the analysis.
- Communicated daily failures of Line Replaceable Units for Engineering Mgmt / S
upplier Mgmt with indicators of problem Units.
- Failure Reports on Line Replaceable Units of a supplier provided for Program M
anagement Reviews.
- Provided special reports on Line Replaceable Units with multiple failures for
special analysis.
- Created reports on Software Quality Records in an Access database that satisfi
ed audit requirements.
- Analyzed software quality records for process information. Identified process
problems. Conducted causal analysis on the data.
- Designed and implemented metrics and charts on the initiation of corrective a
ctions using VBA and an Access database connected by ODBC to an Oracle database.
- Analyzed the metrics on the initiation of corrective actions. Proposed and im
plemented a composite metric with historic charts.
COMMUNICATION RESULTS:
- Created and delivered the KC-10 Tracking System damage calculation program and
damage program manual to the United States Air Force.
- Validated an R&D composite manufacturing process by creating a cost model usin
g quantitative analysis. Justified a follow-on NASA contract.
- Created / transmitted Data Item Description Documents to communicate what is e
xpected from Suppliers.
- Researched metrics, metric guides, metric processes, metric analysis methods,
and metric tools for a Metrics Benchmarking Matrix used by Project Management.
- Developed processes and procedures to meet the Software Engineering Institute
Capability Maturity Model (SEI CMM) for Special Test Equipment.
- Created engineering tool selection criteria and performed tool trade studies f
or 4 tools.
