Abstrak
Pendahuluan: Radioterapi memegang peranan penting pada penatalaksanaan kanker kepala leher. Selain paparan
radiasi, faktor host seperti oral hygene yang buruk dan adanya permasalahan pada gigi juga meningkatkan resiko
osteoradionekrosis.Oleh karena itu pentingnya persiapan pasien sebelum radioterapi sering dipertimbangkan
sebagai bagian dari rencana manajemen untuk mencegah komplikasi gigi seperti osteoradionekrosis.
Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui pertimbangan persiapan radioterapi pada pasien dengan squamous cell carcinoma
Case: Pasien dengan diagnosa squamous cell carcinonma konsul dari TS. THT -KL direncanakan radio terapi,
mengeluhkan gigi belakang kanan bawah sering sakit sejak ± 2 tahun yang lalu. Kondisi pasien hemiparese sisi
kanan post stroke sejak ± 5 tahun yang lalu dengan oral hygene yang buruk.
Penatalaksanaan: Dari hasil konsul kepada TS Interna dilakukan pemeriksaan PT, aPTT hasilnya dalam batas
normal. Ekstraksi gigi dilakukan per regio secara bertahap. Edukasi oral hygene pada pasien dan keluarganya. Boleh
dilakukan tindakan radioterapi setelah 3 bulan post pencabutan terakhir
Kesimpulan : Persiapan pasien sebelum tindakan radioterapi sangat bermanfaat dalam mencegah resiko
osteoradionekrosis.

Abstract

education for patients and their families. Radiotherapy can be done after 3 months after the last tooth extraction
Conclusion: Patient preparation before radiotherapy is very useful in preventing the risk of osteoradionecrosis.
