EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION

Extensive project management, mechanical engineering, design,

and equipment development experience in the packaging and processing
equipment, pharmaceutical and paper industries. Including analysis of the
mechanical systems, prototype development of special machinery and
mechanisms. Machine design utilizing CAD system in the conceptual and
detail design, project management and integration of custom machinery and
commercially available equipment.
Possessing in depth operational knowledge of pharmaceutical
processes, qualification, validation, CGMPs, production SOPs, and FDA's
requirements. Further, custom automation equipment, packaging and
processing equipment, engineering documentation's and blueprints,
operations of such.
Submitted and implemented numbers of equipment improvements to
increase output and safety, reduce waste and changeover enhancements.
Managed multi million dollar projects in packaging, equipment development
and processing. Applied for five US Patents, from which one was granted as
of today, to benefit the J&J Co.
Recipient of the J&J Achievement Award for Geldipping expansion
project in McNeil Las Piedras, PR. Recipient of the McNeil's Engineering
Excellence Award and Engineering Development Award for innovation, and
development. Recipient of number of Encore Awards for Engineering.
Six Sigma (DMAIIC) training completed and principles applied to
assigned projects. Demonstrated capability to manage and implement
difficult tasks with minimal supervision. Project management and
supervisory staffs experience from concept through completion.
Moved beyond conventional tendencies, beyond waiting for answers or
directions from above. Eagerly drive forward integrated areas of purpose.

EMPLOYMENT HISTORY AND EXPERIENCE

03/1992 to date. Positions held within the organization are: Staff
Engineer, Project Manager, Senior Project Engineer, EDMS/CAD Engineering
Supervisor. Managing and implementing multi-million-dollars projects for
Solid Dose, Processing and Liquid Packaging centers. As part of Process
Engineering group, support of Gel Dipping and Liquid Processing, as well as
McNeil's proprietary packaging projects. Previously, staff member of the
Development Engineering (R&D) Group, having responsibility for the design
and development of new products, equipment and cost reduction programs.
Responsible for concept design through prototype development, equipment
debugs and starts ups in manufacturing. Managed activities of a design
group in implementation of compliance and documentation updates for three
plants. Support three McNeil manufacturing plants, in the administration
and implementation of equipment development and integration. Additionally,
prepare justification, cost estimates, track spending, supervised
qualification and validation documentation and execution; created capital
appropriation requests for project funding.
Implemented the following projects, among others: Safety
Compliance in Gel dipping, R&D and Gel Dip Processing in their day-to-day
activities, Rebuild and Improve Performance of (15) fifteen Packaging
Lines, with efficiency and output improvement of 15%. Developed, Multiple
Level Sleeve Unwind Station, Automatic Dip-pan Wash Station, Gel dipping
Drive Upgrade, resulting waste reduction translating to $800M annual
savings. Prototype Blister Tooling, which reduced customer complains. Pouch
Lines Speed Up, from 600P/M to 1000P/M, Vial Packaging Line Integration and
Installation, New Generation Pouch Feed Track, per my patented idea, High
Speed Pouch Opening, Gel dipping Machine Speed Up, increased speed by 25%
this from concept to prototype development with clinical batch
verification. Support Liquid and Solid Dose Packaging rebuilds with 30%
production output gain in liquids.
