- A negative result does not preclude the presence of SARS-COV-2, therefore still risk of transmitting others, it is recommended to do a retest or confirmatory
testing with NAAT (nucleic acid amplification tests) if relatively high pretest probability, especially for symptomatic patients or known positive COVID-19
contact.
