up for Transportation Supervisors as needed, generate weekly and month end repor

Regional Transportation Tech (April 2004 to February 2007)
As a Target Scheduler, my primary duty was to schedule all inbound freight withi
n a timely manner, verify purchase orders, research invalid purchase orders and
not open to receive purchase orders. I worked closely with all carrier partners,
HQ, Expediting, Dispatch and Inbound in this process. I was responsible for mon
thly feedback meetings with seven of our major carriers. In addition, I perform
ed various tracking reports and provided these reports to GLs, SGLs, HQ and othe
r departments within the DC. I was responsible for performing weekly delivery re
ceipt audits and providing feedback based on the results of the audit to the Inb
ound and MBP departments. I actively participated in a CDM assessment monthly ro
tation with my Logistics team members. I provided back-up to Dispatch when need
ed and retained the responsibility of invoice processing after my lateral move f
rom Dispatch to Scheduling. I took the initiative and partnered with an Ops Anal
yst to create an Invoice Tracking Database which proved to be very useful to my
team. I was an active member of the Emergency Response Team. As a Target Dispa
tcher, I worked closely with our dedicated carriers Dart and Ruan as well as Tar
get store logistics teams. I provided effective communication with all of the DC
GLs and SGLs as to inbound and outbound loads. My primary duties were: developi
ng the Weekly Workload Forecast, Post Load Billing downloads, Outbound Database
maintenance, invoice processing, daily dock walk, Computerized Fleet Analysis da
ta entry (tractor/trailer maintenance), scheduling sweeps, Weekly Store Service
 Report, admitting and releasing of trailers to the DC, file retention, communic
ating policies, procedures and changes to yard drivers, coordinating with shippi
ng and expediting all returns, chargebacks, transfers, misships and document pre
paration for all such loads, coordinating tractor and trailer maintenance with t
he maintenance provider, maintain vendor relations with tire, trailer washing, f
uel and maintenance vendors. I took the initiative when ask by my GL to find a m
ore cost effective fuel provider. I was able to find a provider that saved Targe
t a substantial amount on delivery cost of the fuel.
