f services at KAUST when administration offices were required to close for ten d
ays. Received and managed vendor information and 95 global invoices totaling $89
5K. Processed invoices for payment. Successfully completed task on time.
Saved employer from tax penalties. KAUST received letter from IRS stating they h
ad not paid enough in estimated tax payments; IRS asked for $10K in tax fines. P
repared several schedules to document financial history and monthly income state
ments. Collaborated with CPA firm to analyze conditions. IRS dropped the penalty

Negotiated credit terms, establishing credibility. Pricey first-class internatio
nal travel costs at KAUST had to be charged on American Express, which offered a
low credit limit. Established rapport with creditors. Negotiated terms. Launche
d monthly pre-pay system. Raised credit limit from $50K to $1.4M in four months.
Motivated team to exceed fundraising goals. Set goal as Co-Chair of Combined Fed

Senior Staff Accountant, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), 1986 to 2007. Ma
naged 12 employees and internal controls for 14 finance centers. Planned and led
audits, assessed risk, directed audit team, and wrote reports. Oversaw performa
nce metrics and year-end meetings. Completed tasks to satisfy government complia
nce.
Earlier Career: Supervisory Accountant, U.S. Coast Guard. Managed team of four f
or the Department of Transportation. Updated accounting policies and procedures
manual for use in all Coast Guard locations. Prepared annual report on Federal M
