Cell and Molecular Biology, Spring 2009
The affect of pesticides treatments on activity of Tetrahymena pyriformis
-Eukaryotic cell was treated with natural and man-made pesticides to compare the
ir effectiveness. The LC50 value was used as a standard. Data was analyzed with
a T-test. A thesis was written and a fifteen minute Powerpoint was presented.

-Compared and contrasted data on male preference. Extracted data through various

-Developed questionnaire to ask the elderly about their medication taking habits

Genetics,Fall 2008
Green Fluorescent Protein and different generations of Arabidopsis thaliana
-Germinated a second generation Arabidopsis thaliana plants, these plants were s
elfed to produce the third generation Arabidopsis thaliana. Both
generations' transgenicity of the GFP gene were analyzed by Chi-squared test. Ex
tracted the DNA using polymerase chain reaction. Wrote a 10+ page thesis.
