To Whom It May Concern:

As my resume indicates, I have over twenty years of experience in the Mental Hea
lth profession, and have worked in Management for the last fifteen years. In ad
dition, all of my clinical background has included working with children, adoles
cents, and families. Please note that over the last year and a half I went back
into the arena of front line social work to re-experience the work load and fee
lings of those in which I generally supervise. This was a strategic move that m
any would probably not do, but one that has proven extremely beneficial to my fu
ture in the field of management and would welcome discussing in greater detail.
I have extensive experience in the area of staff development, program evaluatio
n, managing the daily operations of programs, ensuring the delivery of quality s
ervices, ensuring that contract deliverables are successfully achieved, providin
g quarterly reports to board of directors, insuring compliance with contractual
guidelines, responding to emergencies, maintaining familiarity with the company
mission and adherence to a companies philosophy as well as an extensive knowledg
e of child development. Over the years, I have been very fortunate with the abil
ity to gain experience in a broad array of Theoretical Modalities such as Cognit
ive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Treatment, and the Strengths Based Mode
l to name a few via my exposure to working for the Carver Community Center, Pars
ons Child and Family Center, Hillcrest Educational Center, and particularly the
Family and Children's Services of the Capital Region. I consider myself knowled
geable in working with diverse populations and diverse organizations. To this e
nd, I am also very skilled in the area of Grant Writing, Collaborating with othe
rs, Training, and empowering others to perform to their highest potential. My g
reatest passion is seeing others succeed.
You may notice that I do not have a Social Work License in your state. I am in
the process of gathering and submitting the necessary paperwork to become licens
ed in a variety of states, as I currently have the highest license in the State
of New York and the State of Massachusetts. I am open to maintaining a career i
n the State of New York as well as other states that may find my qualifications
worthy of consideration. If considered for the State of NY I can be available i
mmediately for employment, and within four weeks if considered for another state
.
It is my hope that you will consider my educational background and experience as
qualifying me for the position that you are advertising for.
I look forward to discussing with you my capabilities in more detail. I can mak
e myself available for an interview at your earliest convenience.
Thank you for your consideration.
