* Case manager responsibilities consisted of reviewing the telephonic treatment
plans of mental health therapist, psychologist, and psychiatrist for third party
reimbursement and the authorization of continued treatment.
* Referral line responsibilities consisted of verifying insurance for policy hol
ders over the phone and providing policy holders with referrals for mental healt
h and substance abuse issues. Other responsibilities consisted of authorizing a
dmissions to hospitals for mental health and substance abuse issues, as well as
data entry. Brief short-term telephonic counseling was also provided.
