Over 30 years of engineering & construction management in the energy,


chemical, pharmaceutical, and manufacturing industries. Expertise
includes the planning and coordination of all phases of major new
construction and renovation projects with an emphasis on design &
construction management. Other areas of expertise include business
development, preconstruction services & capital cost estimating
management. I also serve on my local home owners association as a
board director. I have led over my career both major projects from
design inception to client-turnover as well as led business
development & conceptual design & estimating teams. I am interested in
pursuing new challenges as well as mentoring younger colleagues in

The partially complete plant, located in Fremont, Ohio, was purchased
from Calpine Corporation in January 2008. The Fremont Energy Center
includes two natural gas combined-cycle combustion turbines and a
steam turbine capable of producing 544 megawatts (MW) of
load-following capacity and 163 MW of peaking capacity. My consulting
services include organizing & streamlining calibration turnovers to
the client start-up team, cost forecasting costs to complete
instrumentation controls on all systems, organizing & managing field
teams for installation of instrumentation controls on all systems.

Novartis Vaccines is contemplating designing and constructing a new
vaccines manufacturing facility in the State of Pernambuco, Brazil.
Services included providing high level coordination & consulting to
Novartis Vaccines Corporate Engineering & Skanska LA (Sao Paulo
Office). Novartis Vaccines awarded Skanska LA with front end site
preparation design & construction services. The project will
potentially be continued sometime in 2010 pending funding decisions by
the Novartis Board of Directors.

PA Line 1, 2 Retrofit Project (Influenza Vaccine)
Value $20 million
The MedImmune facility, located on Red Lion Road in NE Philadelphia,
produces FluMist (Influenza Virus Vaccine Live, Intranasal) on an
existing aseptic sterile production line, TBF (Thaw, Blend, Fill) Line
1. Another fill line, TBF Line 2, was previously under construction
and partially completed but work on this line was deferred in 2004 due
to changing market conditions. The completion of this partially
completed ascetic sterile filling line was the core of this retrofit.
The work included modification of sanitary process piping,
installation of new process equipment including a new high speed fill
machine, instrumentation modification and replacement, HVAC
modifications and re-pressurizations, automation hardware & software
modifications and replacements and completion & installation of
architectural items such as doors, hardware and floor, wall and
ceiling finishes. The new clean rooms now meet BSL-2 requirements.
Responsibilities included all preconstruction planning services,
capital cost estimate development and all Construction Management
Services including management of the Commissioning & Qualification
Services. This project was executed under a contract with MedImmune
and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) as part of
the U.S. Government's Pandemic Influenza Plan.

B56 Remediation Project (Vaccine)

Building 56 (B-56) located on the sanofi pasteur Campus in Swiftwater,


PA campus is a completed meningitis vaccine production facility with
systems that have been operated and utilized for over three (3)
years. The facility was constructed utilizing modularized building
units manufactured by Pharmadule in Sweden. The validation process has
not yet been completed for B-56 and modifications must be undertaken
to remediate open issues that will ensure regulatory compliance The
primary areas of work for this project are in the Fermentation,
Purification and Conjugation areas. Media and Buffer areas are also
significant work areas, as well as the CIP system. The Work includes
modification of sanitary process piping, instrumentation modification
and replacement, HVAC modifications and re-pressurizations, and
automation hardware & software modifications and replacements.
Priority areas of completion are fermentation and purification and
supporting utilities, media and buffer, with the conjugation area
following. Responsibilities include all preconstruction planning
services, capital cost estimate development & site management of
Skanska site personnel.

New Pipeline Products Upgrade Project
Value $120 million
The project is a new renovation at an existing Wyeth facility in
Guayama and involves the construction of two (2) new tablet production
suites, a new boiler house and various infrastructure upgrades.
Responsibilities included coordination with US based engineering
group, review of design packages, consultation on constructability
methods and review of deliverables from various international
equipment manufactures. Responsibilities also included management &
updating new capital estimate to serve as baseline budget for the
project and participation in value engineering workshops to reduce
unnecessary capital expenses.

Oros Backend Expansion Project
Value $35 million
This project involved providing a budget for capital appropriation to
the client's board. The project consisted of an expansion and
renovation within an existing plant site. The scope of the project
included several new cGMP processing suites which were added to a new,
2-floor, approximately 20,400 square feet, a manufacturing expansion
to the east of existing Building J1-18 (MEX) to accommodate a solvent
coating, tray drying and laser drilling operation for the production
of bi-layer time-released products. In addition to the building
expansion, the project included a renovated compression suite (for
PBOEL Category 3 compounds) located in the existing MEX building.
Responsibilities include overall management and coordination of the
preparation of the capital appropriation estimate including client
costs.

This project involves providing pre-construction services for a
proposed new API and GMP Intermediate Pilot Production Facility for
Schering-Plough in Union, NJ. Responsibilities include overall
management of Master Project Estimate preparation, including client
costs, logistics studies, value engineering, constructability
