orth Texas Burn Rehabilitation Model System Burn Grant, funded by the National I
nstitute on Disability & Rehabilitation Research. The study was a federally fun
ded grant studying the rehabilitation outcomes of burned patients. My duties in
cluded: screening new patients admitted to the Regional Burn Center at Parkland
Memorial Hospital for study eligibility, attended Burn Unit Physician's Rounds a
nd Conferences to gather data from Physicians and Therapists during patients hos
pitalization, reviewed and collected data from medical records, recruited rese
arch participants by explaining the study to potential subjects and obtaining in
formed consent, conducted patient interviews and administered and scored test d
uring inpatient hospitalization and outpatient doctor appointments, assisted ph
ysicians by organizing outpatient clinics, completed and maintained research pa
rticipant's files, maintained databases and generated research data reports.
2000-2001: Testing Supervisor, Texas A&M University Student Counse
ling Services Testing Center, College Station, Texas. Managed the day-to-day op
erations of the testing center. Scheduled and proctored personality, career, an
d academic inventories/instruments, correspondence exams, and the G.E.D. tests.
Scored, scanned, and profiled test results for Physicians and Counselors. Main
tained monthly billing and accounts receivable records for testing services. Ma
