ore than 500 successful wells over his working career. Jamesa forte is finding
hydrocarbons in the ever increasing environment of finding new reserves whether
this
be the use of specialized skills using a variety of geological/geophysical tools
as technological advances are made combined with an innate ability of knowing t
he direction to detect these finds using past, proven subsurface methods. His s
kills are to maximize asset value of producing fields for promotion to potential
joint venture (JV) partners. He worked, in particular,
much of South America and the Caribbean Plate region. He speaks
Spanish as his second language and has taken courses in Portuguese. He is highly
trained in Landmark Graphics software (certified instructor in more than seven a

* Prospect generation was performed for small independent in South Texas (Lavaca
, Kenedy and northeast Texas counties) using Landmark Graphics. He concentrated
within the Frio and Wilcox Formation along with Sligo Formation this exploratio
n effort. James generated 56 prospects in clastic reservoirs. Both field work
in logging wells of prospects generated; drilling and completion of wells into t
he infra-structure. Used full suite of Landmark Graphics products (Seisworks 3D-
2D, Geoprobe, PostStack Pal, Promax3D, Stratworks, SynTool, Omni 3D design, Neu
raView, NeuraMap, Neuralog, Move 2D/3D, Paradigm GOCAD 2009; Rock Solids Images
AVO, Hampson-Russell (AVO, Seismic Inversion (Strata), and Emerge Programs Petre
l 2009; Fekete Software; Drillinginfo.com web applications.
* James developed a a portfolio of prospects in Caddo Parish, Louisiana; Harriso
n County and Marion County in Texas playing the Lower Cretaceous Travis Peak (Ho
sston) sand sequence and the Upper Jurassic-aged Cotton Valley sand facies along
with the deeper Smackover Lime Formation. One prospect, known as the Caddo Lak
e Project, is located 16 miles south of the profilic Rodessa Field and is on the
southwestern flank of the Caddo-Pine Island uplift area where the North Louisia
na oil industry was born. The primary objectives at Caddo Lake are the gas sand
s known to occur in the Travis Peak and Cotton Valley Formations (8,000a to 10,0
00a objective). The analog fields to this prospective area can be found in Long
wood and Greenwood-Waskom Fields were the Upper and Lower Cotton Valley sand pac
kages produce an average of 3-9 BCFG per well. It is estimated post-frac that t
he average Cotton Valley gas sand should yield at least 400 MCFG per acre-foot i
n the Caddo Lake prospective portfolio. In addition to the Cotton Valley produc
tion, there are identified seismic anomalies at the deeper Smackover Lime level
in this area. Several seismic anomalies have been identified to date on re-proc
essed 2D seismic data. The nearest Smackover production is 15 miles away in the
Rodessa and McLeod Fields. Additionally, there are excellent opportunities to
encounter shallow pay zones within the aHilla interval of the Rodessa Formation
and the Pettit Lime Formation in this area.
* Projects in the Ft.Worth Basin of North Central Texas developing Barnett Shale
play utilizing horizontal drilling practices. Several wells drilled in and ar
ound Newark Field and other areas of Wise County, Texas just west of our office
in Plano, Texas. Secured leases around DFW airport region and extending as far
south as into Comanche County, TX at the southern fringe of the play. Work in t
he Dickerson County area of North Dakota in the Bakken shale and the Three Forks
Formation. Leases were taken in the Eagle Ford Shale in South Texas fairway (pa
rticularly, Uvalde County). Originally did work on thesis at South Dakota School
of Mines on the Englewood/and its equivalent the Bakken shale) both in South Da
kota and North Dakota. Started to work the Marcellus Shale plays in Pennsylvani
a and New York state in the Devonian section (both in the Mahantango Fm in PA an
d Skaneateles/Ludlowville/Moscow Shales in NY). Did feasibility study for horizo
ntal drilling and made comparison with the costs to compare to the Barnett Shale
play in North Central Texas.
* Developed prospects in the Caddo Lake area of Northeat Texas/NW Louisiana in t
he Lower Bossier (Haynesville) Shale for Northstar Energy and its JV partner Wil
cox Operating in Shreveport, Louisiana. Also worked prospects in the Granite Wa
sh play just south of the Red River on Texas side and southeast of Wichita Falls
and north of Denton area (within the Gainesville area) with partner Bandera Exp
loration in Dallas.
* James completed a project (2004) in West Texas in the Permian Basin working th
e area east of Scurry Field in the Canyon Reef and Ellenberger play of Fisher an
d Kent Counties an play (Pennsylvanian-age reservoir reef rocks of the Strawn, C
anyon, Cisco and Wolfcamp) and is located some five miles from the Ocho Juan Fie
ld which has produced some 6,000,000 barrels of oil. This prospect has the prom
ise to produce 8.33 million barrels of oil and 7.22 billion cubic feet of natura
l gas. The first well will offset the Houston Oil and Amerada Woodard #1 well i
n Section 35/W2 and the Texaco Fisher wells in same area of Texas Pacific Railro
ad Survey in Fisher/Kent Counties of West Texas. Another project is offsetting t
o production in the East Vealmoor Field area in Borden County, Texas. He has ex
perience working the Permian Basin of West Texas from early 1980as period where
he worked in this area for Phillips Petroleum. Another area was the drilling o
f a well.in the Horseshoe Atoll. The Brazos River Prospect (a 7,000a test) is a
Canyon Reef play (Pennsylvanian-age reservoir reef rocks of the Strawn, Canyon,
Cisco and Wolfcamp) and is located some five miles from the Ocho Juan Field whi
ch has produced some 6,000,000 barrels of oil. This prospect has the promise to
produce 8.33 million barrels of oil and 7.22 billion cubic feet of natural gas.
The first well will offset the Houston Oil and Amerada Woodard #1 well in Sect
ion 35/W2 and the Texaco Fisher wells in same area of Texas Pacific Railroad Sur
vey in Fisher/Kent Counties of West Texas. Another project is offsetting to prod
uction in the East Vealmoor Field area in Borden County, Texas. He has experien
ce working the Permian Basin of West Texas from early 1980as period as well work
ing for Randy Kelly of Phillips Petroleum group in Houston. James was active in
prospect generation in Lea County, N.M. with partners of Yates Petroleum in Art
esia, N.M (Lewis Yates)..
* Project Gato Canyon Unit. The play area is part of the Santa Barbara-Ventura
Basin and surrounding areas of California. Gato Canyon is located in the Santa
Barbara Channel within the same anticlinal trend (Five Mile Trend) as Hondo, Pes
cado and Socate fields. Based on regional work, it can reasonably be expected th
at Gato Canyon field would drain Monterey Formation of similar reservoir quality
and thickness as seen in the other fields within the trend. Hondo, Pescado and
Socate fields are structurally controlled accumulations in the Monterey Formatio
n with Estimated Ultimate Recoveries (EURas) of 393 mmboe, 127 mmboe and 70 mmbo
e respectively. These fields combined have produced approximately 400 MMBO and
650 BCF, and are currently producing approximately 15 MMBO plus 35 BCF per year
based on projections from production data during 2003.
* The evaluation work was part of the extension work which indicated recoverable
reserves of 144 MMBOE with full development of federal and state leases. The e
valuation is outlined in supplemental materials provided to achieve goals of the
project.
