Westminster College:
a Award winning Health Wellness Facility / 73,000 square foot multi story field
house structure. Hard bid delivery won by presentation of solutions to building
within crowded internal campus. Implemented cost saving modifications of $600,
000 from initial bid by orchestrating a material and equipment redesign process.
Final delivered cost at $13.4 Million.
a Elevated Playfield and Parking Structure / 130,000 square foot post tensioned
UG parking structure with a synthetic athletic field for soccer and lacrosse. Ne
gotiated Design/Build GMP project in partnership with project architect, won by
interview amongst (3) qualified teams. Interview team achieved unanimous vote f
rom 13-member building committee. Our effort reduced delivered cost to $6.8 Mil
lion carved from an initial budget of $7.3 Million.
a Health & Science Services Building / goal of USGBC LEED Silver rating / 75,000
square foot multi story science and laboratory facility. CM/GC delivery project
won through competitive interview by committee amongst (3) qualified teams, rec
eived unanimous vote from committee in award. One year design process scoped pr
oject at $23 Million, exceeding established budget. Through preconstruction eff
orts of the CM/GC team the project contracted at $21.8 Million.
Swaner Eco Center & Education Facility:
a Successfully won contract by presenting a team that could deliver the first US
GBC LEED Platinum in the State of Utah. Projected budget of $5.1 Million met by
delivery through a CM/GC GMP process. Project delivered and rated by USGBC with
LEED Platinum Certification.
Newpark Class A Office Complex / Buildings One & Two:
a Awarded contract for Building One, earned continued client relationship after
dismissal from a Design Assist CM/GC process after competition increased estimat
ed project costs. Delivered a 3-story 60,000 square foot Class A structure with
full tenant build out for $7 Million in total cost, saving client 15% on initia
l budget.
a Building Two, won by competitive interview, delivered by Design Build CM/GC, a
n award winning development, custom designed for the Rossignol All Mountain Comp
any, a division of Quicksilver. A post-modern industrial, exposed structure desi
gn theme, total contract of $8.3 Million, Class A, 3-story with loft, profession
al office building.
Idaho National Laboratory / Center for Advanced Energy Study:
a Successfully assembled interview team and won project designed to service (4)
internal user tenants; Idaho National Labs (INL), Boise State University, Idaho
State University and the University of Idaho; all present and voting for contrac
t award. Two story laboratory and office facility that attained a USGBC LEED Sil
ver Certification. Through team effort of one year design time frame, project so
ared over budget, brought back within budget to gain approval to construct. Fina
l cost of $17.8 million for an 80,000 square foot core & shell laboratory.
Blue Sky Corporate Ranch & Resort:
a Capstone achievement of time with Big D Construction that led to position with
Phillips Edison Company. Through success with LEED projects and Westminster Col
lege, Phillips Edison selected our firm to provide construction services on thei
r cutting edge business resort. Goals of the project were guided by our team wit
h external consultants guiding design and budgeting over 300,000 square feet of
buildings; consisting of a main lodge, two ancillary lodges, conference faciliti
es, spa, horse ranch, welcome center, executive residence, and all infrastructur
e in a remote section of the Wasatch Mountain Range. Additional project goals w
ere to leverage various renewable energy resources, use sustainable materials an
d achieve a minimum USGBC LEED Silver Certification Campus rating.
