Area Vice President-Operations, 2007 - Present
Responsible for all Sales and Operational aspects of Utah's home care leader to
include:
* OPERATIONS: Works in collaboration with clinical support, finance and human re
sources to ensure quality deliverables designed to improve the health and well b
eing of Gentiva's patients and their family members. Provides direction, support
and resources for clinical associates; explores and initiates concepts, includi
ng new product lines; and improvement to operational and administrative systems
efficiencies. Guides and directs Branch and Area Directors in all operational ar
eas including process and personnel management, sales growth and achieving finan

* SALES MANAGEMENT: Directs the activities of assigned sales staff and provides
sales related support to market/branch management to ensure area sales and profi
t targets are achieved and exceeded. Manages, develops and trains sales team and
oversees their activities. Assesses market and establishes with management and
territory staff sales strategy goals and tactics. Makes sales calls on targeted
managed care organizations and appropriate physician groups. Prepares and delive

o provide additional information, answer questions, resolve outstanding issues,

* FINANCIAL ANALYSIS: Works with Regional Management to develop and execute area

ancial updates to ensure achievement of established goals and compliance with es
tablished budgetary constraints. Oversees financial reviews and audits of area b

* BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT: Identifies, establishes and maintains working relationsh
ips with Health Care professionals in contracts, marketing, clinical and special

Responsible for all federal healthcare program sales, contracting and reimbursem
ent activities for the western United States to include:
* POLICY DEVELOPMENT: Educated and negotiated with federal payers to establish a
ppropriate coverage and payment levels for Specialty Infusion. Ensured appropri
ate reimbursement was attained through negotiations with TRICARE Management Acti
vity, Managed Care Support Contractors and Veteran Administration Medical Center

* ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT: Worked in conjunction with sales team to develop new accou
nts. Provided educational programs to facilitate referrals to Coram. Provide edu
cation credits for nurses and social workers. Exceeded annual budget targets by

* CONTRACT NEGOTIATION: Responsible for negotiating and maintaining provider con
tracts that generated over $10 Million dollars in twelve month period.
* FINANCIAL ANALYSIS: Conducted coding and reimbursement analyses to ensure appr
opriate levels of reimbursement. Defined reimbursement methodologies according t
o the claims adjudication system to standardize Coram's federal pricing process.

arding military and veteran healthcare selling development process as well as pu

* STRATEGIC PLANNING: Developed and implemented provider network strategy to com

ined the provider billing process and reduced DSO to less than 60 days.

gers covering a six state area. Responsible for all human resource issues to inc
