REFLECTION ON EFFECTIVENESS

OF

MY LESSON PLAN

The most importing in teaching session is their lesson plan. Lesson plan will be a
guide line to the teacher in lesson session in class. The effectiveness lesson in class is
base on the lesson plan. It will make sure the lesson of the day is centralize according
to the pro forma lesson in a some period.

In my lesson plan, I was made a lesson plan for the pupil in years 2 for one
period lesson (30 minutes). Topic of the day is counting. Pupil were learned about how
to count a whole numbers. For the basic, I was choose numbers from 1 to 5. Pupil was
already had a prior knowledge about how to count from 1 to 3.

In my induction set , firstly, I was made a conversation with the pupil in the class.
I was asking about the pet in their house, tem and wild animal and other. Many pupil
can tolerate and make a respond on question. To get the attention in the class, I was
show the video that I made my self and the title is `Let`s Count` (in cd on the last page
of this assignment). What can I describe from the reaction of the class, I can surely say
that my idea is working and pupil start to give me the attention.

After that, I show to the student the Big Book. In this Big Book there are numbers
fro 1 to 5, shape and also a spelling. In this session, teachers will explain the topic of
the day and that is counting the whole number from 1 to 5. For the first time, i was guide
the student by pointing the number one by one from 1 to 5. Together with the pupil, I
say the number and show to the student.
 For the next session, I use the teaching aid that I made myself and I call it
motherbird. In this board, there a picture of mother bird, and a little bird. For the
beginning, my pupil and I will count the bird together and match it with the numbers (1
to 5). After that, I will ask the pupil one by one to count the little bird. From this session,
I can detect how many pupil that so far can catch up the early lesson. 2 from 6 student
still cant understand how to count.

Using the same teaching aid, I ask the pupil to match the number with how many
bird that I show in the bird. For this session, I can detect there are the same student
cant get the correct answer.

In the next session, I was divide pupils into two group. This is because I will
make a competition between this two group. Firstly I will ask the question by using a
card that on the front have shape to pupil for counting and in the back have a number
refer to the how many shape that card have. I will ask randomize between counting the
shape or recognize the numbers. Every correct answer will get star and it will be stick
on the `board of star`. Team that can collect the star most will be consider as the winner
and will get the reward. From this activities, I can saw pupil so exited to answer the
question and try to get a correct answer. All the pupil giving me a good collaboration
with me.

Lastly, for the closer, I was recall back the lesson of the day by asking randomize
to the pupil by counting once again the bird`s picture in the board. After that together
with the pupil, we do the chicken dance according ti the video that I show in the class
(in cd on the last page of this assignment). For the conclusion that I made, I can tell that
my lesson plan and my teaching aids was successful and almost 85% of the student
can catch up the lesson of the day.
 HOW TO IMPROVE LESSON PLAN

For the improvement lesson in my class, I will make sure that my lesson of the
day will use a theme. Theme in this context is theme for the whole lesson on that day
by using only one theme and theme that can related to pupils. This is because, it will
make sure that pupil can easily understand the lesson of the day. For example I will use
a theme that related to pupil such as pet in their house, the food that pupil like such
sweet and other.

Other that, I will make sure that all my teaching aids that I made or I use will be
using big and colorful picture on t. this is because, from my observation to the pupil,
they will more attractive to the lesson when I using this kind of teaching aids especially
using a cartoon picture that they like.

Using a multimedia also will help them to improve there lesson in the class. Fun,
joking, music element in lesson in the class also take their own part in daily lesson plan.
Student especially special need children love music or art. It will become their one of
the therapy for their cognitive improvement.
