Pada materi ini akan menjebarkan secara singkat bentuk-bentuk operasi

bilangan dalam matematika khususnya penjumahan dan pengurangan. Mari,
simak selengkapnya seperti berikut.

1. Addition (Penjumlahan)

Addition adalah  penjumlahan. Penjumlahan memiliki beberapa bentuk

pengucapan dalam bahasa Inggris, seperti berikut:

a. Bentuk 1 (…plus…is…)

Contoh:

51 + 15 = 66 Five one plus fifteenve is sixty six.

63 + 16 = 79 Sixty three plus sixteen is seventy nine.

74 + 22 = 96 Seventy four plus twenty two is ninety six.

b. Bentuk 2 (…added by…is…)

Contoh:

70 + 1 = 71 Seventy added by 1 is Seventy one.

81 + 6 = 18       Eighty one added by six is eighty seven.

60 + 15 = 75     Sixty added by fifteen is seventy five.

c. Bentuk 3 (…plus…equals…)

Contoh:

56 + 12 = 78 Fifty six plus twelve equals seventy eight.

84 + 10 = 94 Eighty plus ten equals ninety four.

2. Subtraction (Pengurangan)

a. Bentuk 1 (…minus…is…)

Contoh:

99- 15 = 84 Ninety nine minus fifteen is eighty four.

82- 17= 65 Eighty two minus seventeen is sixty five.

b. Bentuk 2 (…deducted by…is…)

Contoh:

72- 11 = 61 Seventy two minus eleven is sixty one.

80- 12 = 68       Eighty minus twelve is sixty eight.

c. Bentuk 3 (…subtracted by…is…)

Contoh:

71- 13 = 58 Seventy one subtracted by thirteen is fifty eight.

88- 16 = 72 Eighty eight subtracted by sixteen is seventy two.

d. Bentuk 4 (…minus…equals…)

Contoh:

66- 5 = 61 Sixty six minus five equals six one.

81- 8 = 61 Seventy one minus eight equals seventy one.
