urban home garden trainings.

Increasingly, such initiatives are being reported
from other parts of the state. It is becoming
useful to share our experience and learning’s to
strengthen such initiatives. Also, in cities,
enthusiastic citizens and potential service
providers (gardeners) are looking for
opportunities to become part of such
initiatives. With this in view, two day State
Seminar on Organic Terrace Gardening is
proposed to be organized.
You are requested to kindly participate and
share your ideas.
There will be two sessions with lead papers
followed by discussion covering different
aspects of terrace gardening. The lead papers
could focus on practical experience from
experienced personnel.
The tentative topics for discussion on terrace
gardening are
1. Need for Organic Terrace Gardening
2. How to implement Organic Terrace
Gardening
3. Cultivation of vegetables in Organic Terrace
Gardening
4. Growing fruit crops on the terrace
5. Growing Aromatic and Medicinal plants on
the terrace
6. Management of pests and diseases

eat and eating what you grow”
2. Individuals and institutions interested in
guiding others on terrace gardening

encouraging terrace gardening

interested in converting wastes into

Provision is made for terrace gardeners who

photo/poster presentations.
