Race is a wonderful minis-
try on the west side of Co-
lumbus—just 3.6 miles
from OLV.
It was developed by Rachel Muha in lov-
ing memory of her son, Brian Muha, who
was killed 10 years ago. This center espe-
cially fosters health and happiness
through spiritual and emotional develop-
ment for kids ages 3-18 years olds.

CATECHISTS NEEDED FOR NEXT
YEAR 2011
2011--12:
The Religious Education office
is looking for a few wonderful volun-
teers who are interested in teaching
children of the parish in the ways of
the Catholic Faith. The potential cate-
chist must, first of all, be a person of faith who is
committed to living the life of our Catholic values
and the life of Christ.
Also, if you love to work with children and
have a creative approach with them, you would be a
blessing to our program. Grades 1st, 4th, and 5th are in
need of new catechists. A training session will be
held late this summer for those who feel they need
additional background to teach. Our Religious Educa-
tion program follows the public school calendar and
occurs on Sunday mornings from 9:30am-10:45am.

SAFE ENVIRONMENT PROGRAM
OLV will follow the Diocese of Columbus Safe
Environment Program which states all volunteers, age 18
years or older, volunteering in parish programs or minis-
tries who have been delegated care, custody or control of
children, must complete the following requirements prior
to working with children: Attend a Protecting God’s Chil-
dren session and have a BCI&I background check done.

SUMMER MOVIE SERIES FOR THE "SAINTLY"

HEARTED: come watch two exciting movies this summer about a
few of our spiritual heroes. Save the dates - Thursday, June 30
at 7:00pm and Thursday July 21 at 7:00pm in the Parish Life
Center:

On June 30 there will be a showing of the provocative movie: The 13th Day -
Based on the memoirs of Sister Maria Lucia de Jesus dos Santos, and thousands
of independent eyewitness accounts, The 13th Day is a dramatic retelling of the
experiences of three shepherd children at Fatima between May and October
1917.

On July 21 we will show: God's Doorkeeper - the movie looks at the heart and
legacy of Brother André - as a man of prayer, of hospitality, and of compassion; a
man who draws people in to experience a God who is love. On October 17, 2010,
Brother André became the first male Canadian-born saint. He is living proof that
"it is with the smallest brushes that the divine artist paints the most beautiful
pictures." Mark your calendars now for these two movies that will surely stir

HOLY FAMILY CONFRATERNITY OF CHRISTIAN MOTH-
ERS AND LADIES GUILD will host Father Angelus
Shaughnessy, National Executive Director of the Con-
fraternity of Christian Mothers, on Saturday June 18th
beginning with brunch at 10:00a in the church under-

THE ST. CHARLES ANNUAL PLATINUM REUNION will
be held on Wednesday, June 22, 2011. It is open to all
graduates and former students (and their family mem-
bers) from the Classes of 1927-1960 from both the
Preparatory High School and St. Charles Borromeo Col-
lege. This event honors the school’s earliest alumni
and those former graduates and faculty members who
have died. Surviving spouses are especially encouraged
to attend in tribute to their husbands. A special Mass
will be held in the Mother of Mercy Chapel at 10:30
a.m. followed by lunch in the Campus Theatre's Cav-
ello Center. A tour of campus, including a visit to the
St. Charles Museum, is also scheduled. The meal is
complimentary but we ask that you reserve your spot
with St. Charles alumni director Louis J. Fabro ’83 to
ensure there is plenty of food on hand for all. He can

CELEBRATE AND REVERENCE GOD’S VISION
FOR MARRIED LOVE AND LIFE: Whether you’re

ATHLETIC SUMMER CAMPS AT BISHOP READY
HS: Once again, Bishop Ready High School will be
sponsoring various sports summer camps for ele-
mentary, middle, and high school students. More

GREATER COLUMBUS POST OF THE CATHOLIC VET-
ERANS will meet Tuesday, June 7th at 7:00 pm at
the “Red Room” in St. Peter’s Church which is lo-

fer Rd. Any Catholic person honorably discharged
with 90 days either peace or wartime active duty US
military experience, or on active duty now, is eligible

CHARISMATIC PENTECOST VIGIL MASS: The Catholic Charismatic Renewal will be sponsoring a Pentecost Mass
on Saturday, June 11, 2011. The celebration of Mass will be held at St. Joseph’s Cathedral, 212 E. Broad Street.
Fr. G. Michael Gribble will be presiding. Rosary will begin at 6:30p; Praise and Worship at 7:00p and Mass will
begin at 8:00p. Personal prayer will be available during Praise & Worship. Come and experience the enthusiasm
