Accomplishments
Created a excel file that map settlement instructions by broker, product and des
k and was able to automatically default settlement instructions. As a result, it
improved the confirmation process and subsequently reduced the amount of domest
ic fails.
Enhanced the Tri-Party collateral process by requesting that the custodian banks
send collateral reports to the team via emails instead of by faxes. This saved
the company significant time on gathering reports and enhancing efficiency by 25
%.
Created a database with Microsoft access to find out if the trade suite process
currently in place was working as expected - this database confirmed its effecti
veness in extensively reducing the risk of trade sales discrepancies and mitigat
ing potential damages, enabling greater reliance by management.
