nd Administration, including Audit, Tax, Legal, Compliance, Facilities, Treasury
, and Payroll, Risk Management, Procurement, Sales Compensation, and HR administ
ration. Built and managed $25 million annual budget; delivered monthly consolida
tion of accounts for corporate reporting; managed seven direct reports based in
the United States and the United Kingdom.
* Played a key role in the pre and post-acquisition of Emtex and successfully in
tegrated international financial and administration operations, which involved t
he transition of more than 150 employees in two countries.
* Implemented financial systems and strategies - including stringent internal co
ntrols, cost saving travel management and expense applications, client system au
dits, and account renewal management processes - to improve 2009 financial resul
ts, as demonstrated by a:
* $7+ million reduction in overall expenses.
* 12% increase in year-over-year annual maintenance revenues.
* Negotiated beneficial terms and continued to manage more than 130 customer and
vendor contracts with a total value of $15+ million.
CORPORATE CONTROLLER 2004 to 2006
Established and effectively managed systems, processes, and procedures necessary
to support U.S. and Canadian startup subsidiaries of U.K.-based Emtex Ltd. Crea
ted an infrastructure capable of supporting anticipated North American business
growth including but not limited to; line item operating and capital budgets, fo
recasts, and required procedures for day-to-day operations; established cost sav
ing vendor relationships. Developed and administered HR policies and procedures,
established and administered a full line of benefits. Managed three direct repo
rts and a $20 million annual budget with offices in Texas, California and Florid
a (U.S. Headquarters).
* Developed deferred revenue accounting, annual billing, and compliance tracking
systems to support software license revenue of $5 million (growing to $12 milli
on) while ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and U.K. corporate reporting standa
rds.
* Maintained ongoing business activities, while providing hands-on leadership du
ring Emtex Software's 2005 acquisition of Option Software, and throughout the ac
quisition of Emtex and subsequent corporate integration into Pitney Bowes the fo
llowing year.
* Significantly improved productivity, efficiency, reporting, and employee satis
faction metrics by:
* Collaborating with the U.K. Finance Director to standardize systems and proces
ses worldwide, aided by frequent overseas travel.
* Negotiating and implementing a first class benefits offering for U.S. employee

* Automation of payroll and tax services; resulting in six figure savings annual

* Automating sales order processing and reporting, increasing accuracy and timel

* Enabling consolidated and country-specific reporting by creating a common char
