The company is a chemical manufacturer on the Houston ship channel with approxim
ately 400 million dollars in annual manufactured product. The plant IT infrastru
cture spans over 55 acres, with 2 additional offices in NY.
* Following hurricane Ike and 6 feet of water covering all 55 acres, the plants
critical IT services were restored within 48 hours. 90% of IT equipment was lost
. Over 100 employees were relocated into temporary buildings and had IT services
within 14 days.
* Management of approx. 35 servers, both physical and virtual as well as all net
work and desktop infrastructure.
* Migrated plan to 75% virtualization, cutting significant costs from licensing,
cooling, and hardware
* Supervised 2 direct subordinates, while maintaining a very technical and hands
on role in IT.
* Following 3 employee layoffs, assumed the roles of Network Administrator, Desk
top Support, and Interim Manager of Security. Managed and supported all servers,
networking devices, desktops, laptops, land line phone systems and wireless ac
counts, PBX systems, network printers, copiers, plotters, access control and vid
eo surveillance systems, routers and SAN's, Oracle and SQL systems, email serve
rs and email compliance /EPA/DHS archival systems.
* As Interim Manager of Security - 1 direct report and 24 indirect reports. Des
igned a new dock monitoring security system in compliance with the Coast Guard,
with direct savings to the company of $155,000 per year in guard services.

Company was acquired by El Paso Corporation in September, 2007 with 90% employee
attrition as of 2-1-08. No contractors were retained. I was brought on board as
a contractor to facilitate the sale by Itegrys Corp of People's Energy Producti
on and to decouple the systems from Itegrys Corporation. I was the sole People's
Energy Production technical staff to facilitate the migration after the company
was sold.
* Moved and migrated approximately 100 employee's equipment/data/security to El
Paso HQ with no downtime.
* Management of approximately 20 servers in 3 company offices including Active D
irectory, VERITAS Backup exec, Excalibur, Production Access, DVR/Security, UNIda
ta Excalibur databases, Microsoft SQL 2005, Citrix Presentation Server, and Geog
raphix. This also included hardware/software for all servers, desktops, laptops,
network applications, routers/switches.
* Technical liaison and lead to El Paso Corporation staff following completion o
f the sale. Migrated approximately 20 terabytes of user data, account migration,
custom applications, email and AD migration to El Paso servers, Cisco VPN tunne
ls and fiber network communications to El Paso facilities.
