Uterus cancer
The term uterine cancer may refer to any of several different types of cancer which
occur in the uterus, namely:

• Uterine sarcomas: sarcomas of the myometrium, or muscular layer of the uterus,

are most commonly leiomyosarcomas.

• Endometrial cancer:

• Endometrial carcinomas originate from cells in the glands of the

endometrium (uterine lining). These include the common and readily
treatable well-differentiated endometrioid adenocarcinoma, as well as the
more aggressive uterine papillary serous carcinoma and uterine clear-cell
carcinoma.

• Endometrial stromal sarcomas originate from the connective

tissues of the endometrium, and are far less common than endometrial
carcinomas.

• Malignant mixed Müllerian tumors are rare endometrial tumors

which show both glandular (carcinomatous) and stromal (sarcomatous)
differentiation – their true cell of origin is unknown.

• Cervical cancer arises from the transitional zone of the cervix, the lower portion
of the uterus and connects to the upper aspect of the vagina.

• Gestational trophoblastic disease relates to neoplastic processes originating from

tissue of a pregnancy that often is located in the uterus.
Astatine
General properties
Name, symbol, number astatine, At, 85
Element category halogens
Group, period, block 17, 6, p
Standard atomic weight (210) g·mol−1
Electron configuration [Xe] 4f14 5d10 6s2 6p5
Electrons per shell 2, 8, 18, 32, 18, 7 (Image)
Astatine occurs naturally in three natural radioactive decay series, but because of its short
half-life is found only in minute amounts.
Heavier isotopes of Astatine are found to have medical uses
Astatine is produced by bombarding bismuth with energetic alpha particles to obtain the
relatively long-lived isotopes

Bleaching powder

Properties
Molecular formula KCl

Boiling point 1420 °C (sublimes)

Potassium chloride occurs naturally as sylvite, and it can be extracted from sylvinite. It is
also extracted from salt water and can be manufactured by crystallization from solution,
flotation or electrostatic separation from suitable minerals.
The majority of the potassium chloride produced is used for making fertilizer, since the
growth of many plants is limited by their potassium intake.

Potassium Permanganate

Properties
Molecular formula KMnO4
Molar mass 158.034 g/mol
purplish-bronze-gray needles
Appearance
magenta–rose in solution
Odor odorless
Density 2.703 g/cm3
Melting point 240 °C decomp.
Potassium permanganate is manufactured on a large scale from manganese dioxide
2 MnO2 + 2 KOH + 3/2 O2 → 2 KMnO4 + H2O

Almost all applications of potassium permanganate exploit its oxidizing properties.[2]
