Moodle
Moodle is an open source course management system used throughout CCT. Students can access course notes of full- and part-time courses, past exam papers and sample assessments, conduct online exams and assignments in relation to the course material they are studying, and keep abreast of important social and academic dates.
CCT has agreed its Quality Assurance Policies and Procedures with the Higher Education Training Awards Council (HETAC) in Ireland. All CCT full-time courses are included on the Internationalisation Register of approved programmes in Ireland hosted by the Irish Dept. of Education & Science: College of Computer Trainings approved Training Programmes and Trainers have been placed on the FS/EI National Register of Trainers. Accommodation service
This service is mainly used by our international students. We can provide home stay accommodation with an Irish family, which suits your needs and special requests. CCT also offers advice on finding and sharing independent accommodation around Dublin.

Airport transfer
The warm CCT welcome for our international students can begin with airport transfer to and from Dublin airport.
Counselling service
Although college is usually a positive experience, some students can experience difficulties. CCT offers a confidential counselling service, provided by a professionally registered counselling psychologist working as a consultant to the College.
Health service
CCT provides a subsidised medical service, for a nominal fee per visit to a professionally registered practitioner. We can also arrange medical insurance at a reduced rate for non-EU nationals studying at the College.

The Certified Information Technology Systems Administrator (CITSS) programme comprises one academic qualification from FETAC, and three professional industry sectoral awards by three leading globally accredited IT awarding bodies CompTIA, Microsoft and Cisco. The programme covers computer maintenance and troubleshooting, networking and network security, software and hardware configuration necessary to access a successful career in the computer industry, or to pursue further studies at undergraduate and graduate level. The NCC Education Postgraduate Diploma in Strategic Business IT leading to the University of Hertfordshire MSc in Strategic Business Information Systems is a full-time programme aimed at candidates from an Information Technology (IT) background. UK bachelors degree with honours (or equivalent) in Information Technology, Computer Science or related subject. IT graduates who hold a bachelors ordinary or pass- level degree (or equivalent) in Information Technology or related subject with exceptionally high marks may be considered for admission, at the discretion of NCC Education.
Route 2 (Conversion)
UK bachelors degree with honours in a non-IT-related subject (or equivalent) AND Three years work experience in an IT environment, with evidence of technical or managerial responsibility.
Route 3 (Vocational)

Applicants whose first language is not English must demonstrate sufficient competence in English to benefit from the Programme. This is normally demonstrated by recognised awards equivalent to a TOEFL score of 550 in the written test or 213 in the CBT test together with a TOEFL Test of Written English of 4.0, or an overall IELTS score of 6.0 Candidates who do not satisfy these requirements will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Course Overview
The overall aim of this programme leading to the award of Bachelors in Science in Computing in Information Technology, is to provide its learners with the necessary theoretical and practical skills, knowledge and competence, to gain a comprehensive and specialised, strong foundation and understanding of the area of Computing in Information Technology. It is envisioned that graduates will be able to fulfil a wide range of entry-level to middle-level roles within the industry, and/or engage in further study in a wide range of areas within Computing and Information Technology at Irish NQF Level 8, to further develop their careers.

Assessment
CCT will utilise a variety of assessment methods to help ensure that the learning outcomes of each subject will be achieved, for example: Written Examination compiled of long or short term essays, Objective Tests, Presentations, Group Projects, Practical Assignments, Oral Examinations and so on. Assessment will be continuous throughout each module, with final examinations administered in most of the modules.

Entry Requirements
Any experience within the Computing and ICT sector will be advantageous, as well as Irish NQF Level 6 Higher Certificate certification in the subject area of Computing and ICT. Minimum academic entry requirements for under 23 year old applicants are: at least 2 Higher Level C3s and 4 passes at Ordinary level in the Irish Leaving Certificate including Maths and a language. International learners whose first language is not English should have achieved an IELTS score of 5.5 6.0 or the following TOEFL equivalencies: TOEFL CBT 183 / TOEFL IBT 65.

Entrance requirements
The academic entrance requirements for CCTs undergraduate and professional diploma programmes are: Irish Leaving Certificate - 5 passes at Ordinary level including Mathematics and any language The minimum academic entrance requirements for Primary degree in the field of Computing, or any other related field, awarded by a recognised institution/authority and/or Minimum of 6 years experience within the industry at an appropriate level, and having satisfied an admissions interview with CCT faculty and admissions staff
International equivalent academic entrance requirements can be ascertained by contacting us directly.
