Tactical Combat Casualty Care 20 hour intensive
Hazardous materials training has been a passion for us at STCI since the beginning. In 1993 we where contracted to preform some HazWOpER refresher training. We discussed the mission of the personnel needing the training as well as the foundation training they had received. We customized a refresher training based on the knowledge, skills and abilities needed to be refreshed as well as the regulatory mandated topics as well. Sounds logical, sure. Recently one of the STCI team attended an 80 hour initial training only to nd out that nearly no equipment was available for the training, even worse was the fact that the equipment needed to preform prociencies was not available.
HMIR: Technician Initial training for hazardous materials technicians at the 24, 40, 80 and 160 hour levels.

STCI Delivers
STCI has developed a program in which you can acquire various equipment items and schedule training related to their implementation simultaneously. An example would be a hazmat team that has the responsibility to train their additional personnel on their team and needs the curriculum to do it. STCI can bring the training, products and help you exceed your training and equipment goals.

Spring is here. As you break into your emergency kits do not forget to inspect your PPE and equipment. Webbing, ropes and harnesses have a life span. Inspect them according to manufacturers recommendations as your life DOES depend on their safe maintenance. I just noticed a set of my own prussic cords showing wear and thought I would share (rhyme not intended)

required bleeding control, bilateral chest decompressions, uids and warming. With treatment the patient immediately improved with O2 (saturation) going from the low 70 s up to the high 90 s. Although this was not a tactical situation, the skills I learned at TCCC combined with the condence gained in the course proved to be invaluable just one day after the course. Having TCCC skills in my tool box allowed me to rapidly make treatment decisions and perform advanced life saving skills without hesitation. I look forward to training with your organization in the future. On last check our patient was alive, and in the surgical intensive care unit! Thank You! XX, Captain XX Fire Department
TCCC
Tactical Combat Casualty Care (20 hour)This course provides the emergency responder with medical specific performance offensive skills related to emergency medical care in tactical and austereenvironments. Successful completion of the two-day Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) Course results in an emergency responder already proficient at performing lifesaving procedures, conducting TCCC procedures quicker and to a higher standard under simulated tactical / austere scenarios which are more stressful, and more challenging than is available with conventional civilian Emergency Medical Service (EMS) training or experience. This course reinforces trauma skills that will allow them to perform with greater accuracy, skill, and confidence if faced with treating patients in a gambit of austere environments (CBRNE event, Suicide Bomber, IED, active shooter, etc). The course culminates with a scenariooriented, task-driven practical exercise utilizing performancelevel skills in response to a terrorist or military related setting.
