Wednesday Nights this Summer We know you are busy during the summer, so in an effort to be good stewards of time and money, we have discontinued Wednesday night dinner and childrens activities (adult choir and student ministry will still meet throughout the summer). Be sure to check out the summer calendar for special events including our Community Prayer Walks, vacation Bible school, Kids Day, etc. Finding Freedom - A New Ministry Coming Wednesdays this Fall Do you want to find freedom from the hurts, habits, and hang-ups (anger, finances, codependency, history of abuse, drug, alcohol, sexual addictions, etc.) that keep you in bondage? UNITE 2K11 needs YOU! our student summer camp is coming up on July 17- 22 and we are in need of a few more adult counselors! KidzKamp Bootcamp A huge thank you to our generous Northside Family!-- We took 38 kids and 10 leaders to KidzKamp: BooT CAmP at White oak! Mission Columbia mission Columbia is in need of pans and skillets (no glass ones please i.e. Corningware) to give to families who are starting over due to losses incurred by fire, flood, etc. Items can be dropped off at mission Columbia, mon-Thurs, 8-11:00 am or left at the CFC desk. volunteers needed to help mission Columbia share the gospel with the people coming in needing help. Global Day of Prayer Meeting Colonial Life Arena 3 PM Pastors, ministry leaders and business people from various denominations in the Greater Columbia area and across the midlands invite you to join them in prayer for unity, revival and the well-being of our city, our nation and the world. The Corporate Prayer meeting will take place at the Colonial life Arena this afternoon at 3:00 p.m. Plan now to be a part as Christians from various backgrounds come together for a time of repentance and prayer. Deacon Nomination Process Its time to begin the deacon nomination process for the 2011-2012 year. Nomination forms will be available June 5 June 19 through your deacon during the lIFe Group times and also in other prominent places around the church. Please be sure and read the guidelines and qualifications for a deacon before submitting a name(s). Deadline for nominations is sunday, June 19. Vacation Bible School: June 20-24 All NBC members are encouraged to register their children and grandchildren THIs WeeK so that class assignments and rolls can be made. Registration forms are available around campus or you can register online at www. ticket2adventure.net! First Prayer Walk: Saturday, June 18 Come join us, on June 18, in the CFC fellowship hall at 9:00 a.m. as we head out to prayer walk the neighborhoods surrounding our new location. each one of us will be given door hangers and a prayer guide to use as we ask God to empower Northside to minister to these families and extend His Kingdom. With fun games, science experiments, field trips and movies in our on-campus theatre, Thirsty Day Camp keeps your child entertained and educated throughout spring and summer break! our pricing is comparable to most child care options in our area, but we offer so much more! Watchman on the Wall Prayer is one of the most important things we can do for Northside. Warriors are still needed to help cover Northside 24/7 in prayer. We have 38 slots open at various times. The Hill A new midweek worship service geared toward those in college, out of college, working, unemployed, married or single in the 20-something age range. If youre interested in serving in our church, and want to make a difference in high school students lives, we could use you. Interested in hosting a foreign exchange student in your home? visiting teens from many countries around the world for the 2011/12 school year. The students are 15-18 years of age, very carefully screened, good students, and have english speaking skills. They bring their own spending money and health/liability insurance. The host family provides room and board as their only expense. many of these visiting students indicate a strong desire to attend church services while here.
