Bin Laden Photo To Be Released (4th May, 2011) Americas Criminal Intelligence Agency (CIA) has announced it will

release a photo of the dead body of Osama Bin Laden. CIA chief Leon Panetta told reporters a postmortem photo of the Al Qaeda leader would be released at some time in the future, but said the date would be for the White House to decide. He told NBC News: "The bottom line is that, you know, we got Bin Laden and I think we have to reveal to the rest of the world the fact that we were able to get him and kill him. He added: "The [U.S.] government obviously has been talking about how best to do this, but I don't think there's any question that ultimately a photograph would be presented to the public." A White House spokesman said the photograph may be too "gruesome" to release. Bin Laden was shot and killed by U.S. special forces in a raid on his hideout mansion north of Islamabad, Pakistan. Biometric measurements were taken of his face and DNA tests were done to make sure it was Americas most wanted man. His body was buried at sea soon after he was shot. Within hours of U.S. President Barack Obama announcing Bin Ladens death, a fake photo emerged in the worlds press of his face. Even though it was clearly created in a photo editing programme, many newspapers put it on their front cover, believing it to be real.
