Systems for the Engineered Wood and Biomass Industries

responsible innovation
When we opened our doors in 1992, we believed the engineered
wood and biomass industries deserved a better class of equipment and a progressive approach to machine design. Our passion for innovation led to new ideas and resulted in machines and systems that perform more effectively, reduce operating and maintenance costs, and create a better product in a more cost-effective plant environment. However, we also recognize new technology must be tempered with responsibility. At TSI, we continue to place an emphasis on practicality and consistent performance from start-up through the life of the plant. This approach to technology is complemented by an unwavering commitment to customer service. In adopting this philosophy, we have created a signature style for TSI systems that is increasingly appreciated by leading manufacturers of wood based products. On the one hand, our approach is creative and innovative. On the other hand, it is rugged, functional, and durable and backed by a commitment to customer satisfaction driven from the top down. Within our areas of specialty, TSI is now the leading supplier in our home markets and we are rapidly establishing our presence in the global market. We will continue to push the boundaries of technology in a responsible way and extend our reach through a broader range of product offerings. In short, we are committed to succeed by making our customers successful. Benny Teal, President TSI

The leAdIng edge At TSI, we push the boundaries of technology without sacrificing reliable performance and ease of startup up. Using incremental advances, testing new ideas, and supporting full disclosure and cooperation, we give our customers the leading edge in a competitive world. The end result is the best technology with the least risk.

finishing lines
approach to the design of finishing line systems. These systems include feeders, stackers, conveyors, saws, packaging machinery, and other equipment integrated into a production line. Pushing the boundaries of finishing line specifications, we deliver a competitive advantage through intelligent design. The finishing lines are built to superior manufacturing standards with advanced engineering solutions and address the processing requirements of: Particleboard MDF (medium density fiberboard) OSB (oriented strand board) Engineered wood Other composite panels

TSI has a dynamic

The ReSponSIble AppRoACh Combining flow, footprint, operational flexibility, and cost-effectiveness, all TSI solutions begin with an initial drawing. From there, we refine the layout until an optimized design is achieved. In the end, the line seamlessly integrates several different processes including, grading, cutting, stacking, and packaging and may include value added functions such as sanding and laminating. Able to provide expertise with in-house solutions aligned with third-party partners, TSI develops unique finishing lines for every customer need.

TSI has an unparalleled reputation for reliability and innovation and our equipment has become the industry standard for rugged construction. TSI through-feed sawing systems have changed industry expectations for ease of set-up, maintenance, and accuracy. Our stacking systems are designed for the largest and fastest production facilities and automation levels minimize the need for manual labor.

dryers
TSI entered
the dryer market in 1999 with the introduction of single

pass rotary dryers. Today, TSI offers new levels of refinement with a full portfolio of dryer and heat energy systems. Ranging in scale from compact skid mounted systems with a capacity of a few tons per hour to some of the worlds largest systems with a capacity to dry thousands of tons per day, our systems deliver top performance and efficiency. The unique core technology ensures a quality end product with minimum emissions and maximum production rates. TSI dryers are the dominant force in the North American dryer marketplace. Able to handle a wide range of process needs, TSI drying systems are the standard by which all others are judged.

Q u A l I T y & C u S To m I z AT I o n TSI begins each dryer project with an analysis of the customers individual needs. At the start of each project, the process parameters are fed into a complex theoretical modeling system. This model is structured to analyze all data inputs in detail and will generate performance data and equipment sizing that has been empirically refined and proven over hundreds of installations. The result is a blueprint for the dryer system which can be customized to fit individual plant geography and customer preferences. The actual equipment is built by TSI to exacting standards and is designed for true industrial performance over a period of many years.TSI engineers monitor site construction to ensure design compliance and TSI process experts supervise the start-up and training for a smooth ramp-up and rapid realization of production goals. TSI dryer system elements include: Heat energy systems Dryer drums Refractory lined ductwork Isolation gates Control dampers Material airlocks Material & gas handling ductwork Drop boxes Cyclones & vortex breakers Induced draft fans Recycle & dilution systems Ancillary equipment
