Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh Ibubapa yang dihormati, Tahniah diucapkan kepada ibubapa sekalian kerana kejayaan mendidik anak sehingga dipilih untuk melanjutkan pembelajarannya di Pusat Asasi, UIAM bagi sesi 2011/2012. Suasana masyarakat dan arah negara memerlukan generasi yang DINAMIS, CERGAS, CERDAS dan JUJUR bagi mewarisi kepimpinan masa hadapan yang berperanan untuk membela nasib bangsa, agama dan negara. Saya bagi pihak Universiti ini memohon jasa baik tuan/puan untuk membantu kami memupuk semangat kesedaran yang diperlukan. 1. INTRODUCTION

Congratulations to all for being selected to join the Centre for Foundation Studies of the International Islamic University Malaysia. 1.1 1.2 2. All the information provided is to prepare you for registration day. Please read carefully and follow the instructions given.

MEDICAL CHECKUP Do your X-ray at any private clinic / hospital earlier. Your medical check-up will be done at IIUM Medical Centre on campus after registration. Bring your X-ray film along.

For further information on IIUM dress code, Kindly refer to http://www.iium.edu.my/CFS 7. ENGLISH PLACEMENT TEST (EPT), ARABIC PLACEMENT TEST (APT) , TILAWAH ENTERANCE TEST (TENT) AND FUNDAMENTAL KNOWLEDGE TEST (FKT) 7.1 All new students are required to sit for English Placement Test (EPT) and Arabic Placement Test (APT) during the Taaruf Week, in order to determine the level of English and Arabic proficiency. The results of the tests will be used to place students according to their level of proficiency. It is advised that students prepare well for the tests as the results will determine the length of studies in CFS. All new students are required to sit for Tilawah Entrance Test (TEnT) and Fundamental Knowledge Test (FKT) during the Taaruf Week, to determine the level of proficiency of students in Quranic Recitation and their Fardhu Ayn Fundamental Knowledge. The results of the tests will be used to determine their credited co-curricular subject. Exemption from EPT Students, who have sat for IELTS or TOEFL before registering, must produce evidence of IELTS or TOEFL qualifications during registration. The following minimum requirements must be met in order to be exempted from EPT: FOUNDATION PROGRAMME English Medium Nursing, Allied Health Sciences, Medical, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Biological Science, Physical Science, Engineering, ICT, Architecture and Environmental Design, Laws, Economics, Human Sciences Arabic Medium Islamic Revealed Knowledge, Bachelor of Arabic (BAR) English Medium Bachelor of English (BENL) *Academic IELTS not General IELTS 7.4

NOTE: i) Only the entrance fee is paid BEFORE the registration day. ii) Recurrent fees will be deducted from students scholarship at each semester. iii) Self-sponsored student is required to settle amounts due latest by 2 weeks before each final semester examination.

PAYMENT PROCEDURE

1. Students must settle the entrance fee BEFORE registration.

2. All payments must be banked into our Bank Muamalat Malaysia Berhad (BMMB) account no. 1205-00030217-13 by using the Pusat Asasi UIAM, Petaling Jaya bank in slip ONLY at any branches of Bank Muamalat Malaysia Berhad (BMMB). Students are required to make payment at the bank counter (please do not use any other method of transfer). No personal cheque or cash will be accepted on the registration day.

3. Students will receive two (2) copies of receipt after payment is settled.

4. THE ENTRANCE FEE IS NON-REFUNDABLE.

5. Students are compulsory to open One Reach Saving Account (18 years and above) or Al- Wadiah Saving Account (below 18 years) at any branch of Bank Muamalat Malaysia Berhad (BMMB) BEFORE registration day. The following documents are required to be submitted to the bank for opening the account:
