TheAdcorrifleincludesapistonbaseoropticsreadywithagasdrivenpistonincorporated intotheupperpartofthefrontrail,replacingthestandardgasimpingementdesign.The pistondriveensuresreliabilitybypreventinghotgasesandcarbonparticulatesfrom enteringthereceiverandfoulingofthechamberandtheaction.Diminishedheatreaching theupperreceivermeansthatCleanerLubricantand Preservative(CLP)appliedinthisareawillevaporateatalowerrateandnotdry out.Thedesignallowslessmaintenanceandincreasestheoverallreliabilityofthe rifle. Anewlydesignedventcoverhousesthepistonexhaustports,whichprotectsthe operatorfromexhaustheatandcutsdownontheriflessignature. Mountingthepistonontheundersideoftherailsystemallowsthebarreltofloat freely,ensuringgreateraccuracyoftherifle. Thelowerhalfoftherailsystemdetacheswithauniquetoolfreedesignforready accesstothepistonandgastubeenhancingoperationalmaintenanceandcleaning. Theoperatingsystemcanbecleanedfasterthantheexistingriflescleaning routine. Theoperatorinthefieldcanadjustthepistonscyclicalratetokeeptherifle operatingwithincontrolrateoffireparameters,resultinginlesswearontherifles criticalpartswithasimpletwistoftheadjustmentmechanismatthepistonchamber. Thepistondesignismachinedwithclosetolerancessothatgasringsarenot needed,eliminatinganotherpotentialmaintenanceissuefortherifle. ExclusiveEjectionPortDustWiperSystem AfteratypicalARstyleriflefires,therifleissusceptibletocontaminants becausetheejectionportdoorremainsopenuntilitismanuallyclosed.Dust,sand anddebriscanenterthereceiverandworktheirwaybetweenthereceiverand bolt,potentiallyjammingtherifle.Thesecontaminantsalsocreatewearand maintenanceissues.Adcorsdesignsolvesthisproblemwithaspringloadeddust wipermountedontheriflesboltcarrier.Eachtimetheriflefiresandthebolt carrierreturnstothereadyposition,thedustwipermovesintotheejectionport opening,flushwiththeoutsidegeometryoftherifle.Nodust,sandordebriscan

entertherifle.Thedustwiperassemblyhastwosprings,betweentheboltcarrierandthe wipertocontinuoslypushoutwardlyawayfromthebolt carriersothatthedustwipercontinuouslyengagestheinnersurfaceofthe receiverduringmovementinthefiringandrearwardpositions. Thedustwiperismadefromaselflubricatingpolymericmaterialthatwithstands extremeheatandcold,andisextremelydurable. Theconfigurationallowstheusertoremoveandreinstalltheshieldwithouttheuse oftools.(NOTE:Oncethewiperisremovedfromtheboltcarrier,replaceit andthespringswithanewassembly)Inaddition,theriflefunctionsnormally, whethertheshieldisaffixedtotheboltcarrier,orremovedfromtheriflebytheuser.

NewAmbidextrousForwardPlaced ChargingHandle/ForwardPlacedAssist
Adcorsdesignpermitsanoperatortocharge,clearorforwardassisttherifle withoutlosinganyengagementwiththetarget.Theoperatorreachesforwardand pullsbackonahandle(whichcanbelocatedoneithersideoftherifleforright orlefthandedoperators)withoutlosingsightofthetarget. Iftheriflemalfunctions,thesamehandleclearstheriflewithasinglepull.Itisaneasyto use singlemechanism. Thehandleisdetachable(withouttools)andisambidextrousforuseoneitherside oftherifle. Itisequippedwithaspringthatreturnsthehandletoalockedpositiononceused, wherethehandlefoldsforwardintoarecessedareatokeepitoutoftheway.To usethehandleagain,theoperatorreachesforward,andswingsthehandle outwardandbackinasinglemotion. Thehandleisnonreciprocatingwhentheriflefires,andonlyengages whentheoperatorchargesorclearstherifle,

1.Pointtherifleinasafedirection. 2.Removethemagazineandcleartherifleschamber.Becertainthereis noammunitioninthechamber. 3.Pullthecharginghandle(eithertherearcharginghandleortheforward charginghandlebackwardsandreleasethehandle. 4.SettheselectorleveronSAFE. 5.Pullthetrigger.Therifleshammershouldnotfall. 6.Releasethetrigger. 7.Settheselectorlevelonfire. 8.Slowlypullbackonthetriggerandholdit.Youshouldhearthehammer fall. 9.Withthetriggerpulledback,pullandreleasethecharginghandlewhile lettingthetriggerslowlymoveforward.Youshouldhearanaudibleclick, butthehammershouldnotfall. 10.Repeatthisprocessatleastfouradditionaltimes.
