Eliminate back strain with this Tumbling Composter. Using a rocking motion to build momentum, a Tumbling Composter is relatively easy to turn. Made with upcycled components, including a pre-used food-grade barrel and 100% upcycled lumber painted with water-based exterior latex paint. The center tube inside the Tumbling Composter aerates the compost pile and allows excess moisture to drain out. The steel bars inside break up the compost and fluff it up for better aeration. The 55 Gallon Tumbling Composter is 36" wide by 36" deep by 46" tall, and only requires a 3 foot by 4 foot area. Weight: 45 lbs. Color: Black

Rain Barrels
A Rain Barrel collects water from your roof downspouts and stores it for later use. Rainwater can be used for any non-potable purpose such as watering plants, washing cars, or bathing pets.

The Program
Pre-Orders & Payment Pre-orders may be placed with the St. Joseph County Soil & Water Conservation District (SWCD). Payment by cash or check must be submitted at the time of order. Due to space limitations, the SWCD does not typically keep these items in-stock. Credit and debit cards cannot be accepted. These Rain Barrels are repurposed food quality high density polyethylene that were previously used to ship pickled food from overseas. They are cleaned and rinsed with rain water and customized with fittings and screens for your use. These Rain Barrels are designed to leave out all year round. No need to install and remove the downspout each time the barrel is put in place or removed. The only thing you need to do to prepare for the winter season is to drain all the water out of them, open the shutoff valve, remove the linking fitting cap, remove any hoses, and leave them standing. All fittings are plastic, and are made in Indiana and Illinois using 40% recycled material. Colors Available Depend on Size, and Include: Gray, Terra Cotta, Brown, Black, and Blue. Using Rain Barrel Water Water your flowers, trees, shrubs, and lawn Wash your car; rinse tools or muddy boots. DO NOT DRINK WATER from your rain barrel. DO NOT COOK OR BATHE with water from your rain barrel.
