SunMaxx stainless steel solar storage tanks are still available, as are the Rheem Marathon water heaters, now offering both of these trusted brands. Rheem Marathon lifetime electric water heaters feature a high-efficiency design with a lightweight tank that wont corrode. It is one of the most durable electric water heater ever made. The unique, award winning construction of the seamless plastic tank increases its strength, quality, and lifetime. An abundance of CFC

and HCFC free foam insulation from top to bottom results in the most energy savings than any other water heater in its class. Stainless steel elements resist lime buildup and operate more efficiently. The tank has a limited lifetime warranty and the parts have a six year warranty. Rheem Marathon lifetime electric water heaters are designed primarily for Residential use providing years of hot water for you and your family. Marathon tanks can be excellent choices for solar thermal systems because of their extreme durability. To calculate your tank capacity generally 1.5 gallons of storage per

square foot of collector works well in the north and a minimum of 2 gallons per square foot in high sun areas (to deal with excess heat).
