Franchise Information
The Wingstop Franchise Program offers opportunities for both single unit and multi-unit developers in markets across the U.S. Single-unit operators must live in the market they seek to develop and have a minimum net worth of $400,000 of which $200,000 must be liquid capital. Multi-unit developers must have liquidity totaling $200,000 per store to be developed and must have restaurant operations or development experience. The Development Option Fee is $8,500 for each restaurant. The Franchise Fee is $16,500 for the first restaurant and $10,000 for each subsequent restaurant developed, per Development Agreement. Wingstop franchisees pay a royalty of 5% of sales and contribute an additional 2% of sales to the national advertising fund. Franchise agreements are for 10 years with an option to renew for 10 years.

Wingstop landed on the scene in 1994 with the idea of serving the ultimate buffalo-style chicken wings and providing quality products with superior service at an exceptional value. The restaurant was an immediate hit and in 1997 we began offering franchises in response to the growing interest from entrepreneurs wanting to open their own Wingstop restaurant. Today we have more than 650 restaurants open or under development in 32 states and continue to add new stores across the United States. Professional Support
Design and Construction Wingstop offers professional architectural, design and engineering services on a fee basis. Our in-house team of architects has planned and designed the majority of Wingtop restaurants currently open. Our design and construction team will assist you in the selection of a general contractor and will help manage the construction process, including permitting. Wingstop designs and installs the dcor package for every store as well as supplies a preferred list of vendors detailing the furniture, fixtures and equipment needed to complete your restaurant. Pre-Opening The Training Department will send an Opening Team to your restaurant to spend time with you and your staff up to 5 days prior to your opening. Daily Support As a Wingstop Brand Partner you have direct access to your Franchise Business Consultants who are experienced in all aspects of restaurant operations. In addition, our intranet provides ongoing updates and information important to your operations. Our annual convention offers networking opportunities and advanced training programs.

The Menu
Over a decade after opening our first restaurant, our legendary buffalo-style chicken wings remain the primary focus at Wingstop. Each is made fresh-to-order, served steaming-hot and sauced in one of nine proprietary flavors, including Original Hot, Cajun, Atomic, Mild, Teriyaki, Lemon Pepper, Hawaiian Barbeque, Garlic Parmesan, and Hickory Smoked BBQ. Although our award-winning wings are a meal by themselves we also offer a variety of delicious homemade sides including fresh-cut seasoned fries, bourbon double-baked beans, classic pearl potato salad, chilled carrot and celery sticks, creamy Ranch or chunky Bleu Cheese dressings, hot rolls, soft drinks and a wide selection of beers and wines.

Our Restaurants
Wingstop restaurants are designed to create a fun, comfortable atmosphere for our customers and for ease of operations by the franchisee. All of our stores are outfitted with 1930s - 1940s, pre-jet engine aviation dcor and artifacts. The entire family will feel welcome in our comfortable and inviting surroundings.

LaDonna Toliver Oakland, California


Within a year of opening the first Wingstop in the Bay Area, Emon and Ladonna Toliver had the highest grossing restaurant in the system. The couple entered restaurant franchising after several years of operating nonprofit community-based programs. They chose Wingstop after exploring many different restaurant franchises. After visiting several southern California restaurants they were sold on the Wingstop food and concept. Customers report coming to us from as far as San Francisco and San Jose for the best wings theyve ever tasted, says Ladonna.

Charles Loflin Texas and New Mexico


Charles left the hotel industry and purchased a Wingstop franchise so he could run a business on his own terms. He was a fan of Wingstop long before he bought a franchise, however. When the original Wingstop opened in the mid-90s in Garland, Texas, Loflin loved the wings so much he tried to duplicate the recipes to serve at the hotel where he worked. Before he could crack Wingstops secret wing sauce recipe, he began to plan to open his own chicken-wing restaurant. In 1998, Charles opened his first Wingstop in San Antonio. He soon turned that restaurant into multiple locations and quickly became one of the most successful franchisees in the Wingstop system. I am completely hands-on with my restaurants. I love dealing with customers and have a passion for the food.

Deborah Brown Tallahassee, Florida


Though Deborah Brown worked in the restaurant industry for several years, shed never had a restaurant of her own until she opened her first Wingstop. When a development deal with her former employer meant relocating or finding another job, Deborah took the opportunity to use her background in the restaurant industry to open her own franchise. Rod Stokes Miami, Florida


After a 12-year career in the United States Army, Rod Stokes was ready for a change of pace and the opportunity to strike out on his own as an entrepreneur. Based on the quality of the product and focused menu, Stokes selected a Wingstop franchise. His was the second Wingstop restaurant in south Florida and he credits his success with the outstanding training and support that sets each franchisee up to succeed. Ultimately, however, Rod says it all comes down to the product, which he calls clearly superior to our competitors.

Danny Sonenshine Southern California


Before joining Wingstop Danny Sonenshine was a corporate attorney in California. After deciding to find a job that would allow him to work independently, Sonenshine looked into opening a Wingstop. He recognized Wingstops brand potential on the West Coast and decided to open multiple restaurants in Southern California. I joined Wingstop just as the brand was starting to emerge in California, says Sonenshine. Wingstop was still a fairly new brand and it gave me the opportunity to join on before it took off nationwide. Franchisees should look for territories where Wingstop is still a relatively unknown brand and lead the way in that market.

Todd Metten Dallas, Texas


For Todd Metten, a Wingstop franchise was all about timing. Metten and his brother owned Subway franchises in the Dallas area but often went to Wingstop for lunch on weekends. After selling his share of the Subway restaurants, Metten wanted a Wingstop franchise but development in the Dallas area was on hold. So Metten returned to his former career in banking. It wasnt long, however, that he remembered why he wanted to own his own business. It was at that time Metten heard that Wingstop was resuming expansion in Dallas. The timing was perfect, said Metten, who now owns six restaurants. Wingstop is a great product but when you think about it there is not much to it as a concept. Thats whats great about it. Its so simple because it lets the food sell itself. The brand itself is quickly becoming the Subway of the wing industry. You couldnt ask for a better time to get on board. In Dallas you think of chicken wing restaurants and you immediately think of Wingstop. That mentality is quickly starting to spread nationwide.
