I know we've probably all heard it before but I am amazed, or should I say shocked and dismayed, how often I hear negativity from fellow Christians. Consider these scripture verses: Proverbs 18:21 "Death and life are in the power of

the tongue", Matthew 7:16 "You will know them by their fruits." and Luke 6:45 "A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks." Comments I have heard recently are: "Say goodbye to a good night's sleep", (when Aria was born). "It's going to rain and be too wet for all that", (when I had a big weekend planned). "I always get sick in winter" or even "Its flu season just because there are a few people getting around
with a cold. People confessing illness over themselves and/or others! We are created in God's image, the same God that SPOKE the universe into existence. When we speak we can choose to create good or evil as Luke 6:45 says. If our heart is full of doubt then we will speak doubt which breeds more doubt. Romans 10:17 tells us that we build faith through hearing and we hear every word we speak. Hearing the Word of God builds our faith in Christ. Speaking and hearing the word of doubt/illness/poverty etc builds faith in those things. As we have heard from Nigel McNeil, Jesse Duplantis and others, we should speak good about ourselves, even calling things that do not exist as though they do (Rom 4:17). Gossip has the same power and speaks 'death' over others. Even Disney character Thumper gets it and says "if you cant say somethin nice, dont say nuthin at all." We need to speak blessing over our lives and the lives of others; to believe for and expect the best in every circumstance. In Jeremiah 29:11 God says, For I know the thoughts that
