Description:
FORGELUBE 1035 is a unique, smokeless, ammonia free, water-based forging lubricant providing excellent performance in a wide range of forged products. FORGELUBE 1035 was specifically selected to eliminate buildup, corrosion, and environmental concerns often found with other graphite systems. FORGELUBE 1035 easily wets hot dies, coats uniformly, provides excellent release, and extends die life. To achieve optimum film formation, the diluted dispersion should be spray applied to surfaces heated to at least 93C. FORGELUBE 1035 is an extremely stable product that does not settle. The product has a relatively low viscosity of 700 cps. FORGELUBE 1035 has tremendous flow properties that allows for easy dispensing. Due to the particle size and additives used in FORGELUBE 1035 the product significantly decreases the amount of settling in press pits and feed lines. FORGELUBE 1035 is used to forge hot and warm steels, high temperature alloys, net forgings, and powder metal parts. Application:

FORGELUBE 1035 is supplied as a concentrate that may be diluted with plain tap water.

The dilution ratio will vary between 1:4 and 1:20 (product to water) depending on the particular use and method of application. The concentration of the diluted lubricant depends
on the difficulty of the part to be forged. Initial dilutions should begin at the current dilution of the forging lubricant in production. Nonetheless, field data demonstrates that in most instances FORGELUBE 1035 can be further diluted than most graphitic products on the market. FORGELUBE 1035 can be applied by swabbing or spraying. The most uniform and economical coatings are almost always applied by spraying. Both manual and robot spray application produce excellent lubricious coatings.
