Ingredients 500 gm - Squid / koonthal / Calamari 1/2 tsp - Turmeric powder 1 tsp - Red chili powder 1 tsp - Coriander

powder 1/2 tsp - Black pepper powder 1/2 tsp - Garam masala Salt to taste 1 ) Marinate, squid with the above powders, for half an hour. Heat little oil in a wok or kadai. Add the marinated squid to it and cook the squid on a low flame . Close with a lid. There is no need to add water. Cook till the squid is well c ook and all the water that came out of the squid is used up. 1 tbsp - Garlic - Ginger paste 10 - Shallots, diced 2 - Green chili, slit in center 1/2 cup - Coconut, chopped to bits 3 sprigs - Curry leaves Coconut oil or Corn oil Method 2 ) Heat oil in a pan. Add the coconut bits and fry to a light brown in color. A dd green chili , curry leaves and fry for a minute. Then add diced shallots and fry till light brown in color. Add garlic - ginger paste and fry for a minute. 3 ) Add the cooked squid, stir and mix well. Stir and fry for 2 to 3 minutes. Ta ke off the stove and serve. Serve as a side dish with rice or chapati Tip If the squid is too spicy, add half a cup of thick coconut milk to it and cook t ill the gravy is thick and coating the squid. Small squids taste better than big ones and of course fresh is best.

Method: * Clean the squid fish well.(Before cleaning the fish addsalt into the squid bec ause you can peel the skin easily) * Heat the cooker with oil,fry the onion till get slightly brown color. * Then add green chili,ginger garlic paste,chili powder,turmeric powder and somb u,saute it well. * After 2 mints add tomato and salt,stir it well. * Then add squid fish and 3 tsp of water,stir it well and close the lid. * After 2 twistle turnoff the flame.Open the lid. * Cook the squid fish in low flame,stir it continuously. * When you get (redish brown color)roasted fish then turnoff the flame. Squid Chilli Stir Fry Recipe ngredients: 1/2kg squid 4 tsp corn flour 4 tsp besan flour 3 tsp rice flour 1 tsp chili powder 1 cup bread crumbs 1 egg white 1 cup oil Salt to taste. Method: * Clean the fish well and cut it like a circle shape. * Take a bowl with egg white add corn flour,besan flour,rice flour,chili powder and salt,mix it well. * Add fish into the bowl,mix it well,leave it for 15 mints. * Heat the oil and deep fry all the fish pieces.keep it in paper towel. * Serve it with ketchup/mint chutney. Ingredients: Fresh squid tubes - 600 gms, cut into 1 cm rings Long red chillies - 2, deseeded and finely chopped Garlic - 2 cloves, crushed Basil leaves - 1 cup, sliced Olive oil - 1 tbsp Cherry tomatoes - 250 gms, halved Lemon juice - 1/4 cup Bean sprouts - 2 cups Method: 1. Mix the squid, chilli, garlic, basil and oil together, along with the salt an d toss together to coat the squid. 2. After heating the oil in a wok, stir fry the squid for a couple of minutes, t ill they turn opaque. 3. Now, add the tomatoes and the lemon juice and stir fry for some more time. 4. Finally, remove from the fire and toss with the bean sprouts.
