INTEVEP (PDVSA test Laboratories near Caracas, Venezuela) Granted approval in December 2002, after several months of testing. Further testing in 2003 - 2004 involved coating live lines in service at around 110 degrees C and burial again. Pipe was dug up at intervals over two year period, tested for properties, including destructive adhesion testing and repair with SP-8888 cartridge, and subsequent testing of repair at subsequent dig ups. Approval as above

2005 we did 800 linear metres and 20089 started 8Km on same line.
Venezuela External rehabilitation coating completed >5,000m of high temperature in service oil line 12 and 20". Eastern Venezuela. Clay and abrasive sand. High water table and sometimes dry conditions making clay shrink. Sleeves and tapes were totally destroyed in this environment. We have many photos of these systems and also red and green FBE failing on this line. The only product to work so far has been SP-8888. We are ongoing with >10Km of rehab right now.
