Abstract
This paper demonstrates how electricity can be generated from running water domestic pipelines. With the increase in demand of energy and population it is essential to save every bit of energy. There is a need to find unconventional and renewable sources of energy which can be used in both small and large scale. These resources should fulfil the growing demand of energy. Taking into account the above stated points a prototype has been developed which is an conceptual idea where in it is shown how energy can be generated using the water flowing through the pipelines in the domestic use. The energy that is generated can be used to light the bulbs and can also be stored. The generated supply is DC thus it can also be used for the charging of batteries and mobile phones. Implementing the above project will help us to the save energy as well as to use the generated energy. This will help us to meet the future needs and also keep the world clean. It is a form of GREEN ENERGY.

Working Principle:
It is based on the principle of production of dynamically induced e.m.f (Electromotive Force). Whenever a conductor cuts magnetic flux, dynamically induced e.m.f. is produced in it according to Faraday's Laws of Electromagnetic Induction. This e.m.f. causes a current to flow if the conductor circuit is closed.

OPERATION:
Here in the generator is given mechanical input with the help of water that comes from the pipelines. In this project the generator has been coupled with a 6-flap turbine which is kept in the water pipeline. As the water starts flowing through the water pipelines because of the water pressure the turbines starts

rotating. As the turbine starts rotating it transfers torque to the shaft (conductor) this conductor cuts the field and a current is induced because of the generator. Now the generated current is taken and transferred to the LED (diode). As the current starts flowing through the conductor the LED it starts emitting light. This LED is connected to the battery with the help of a diode which is connected in reverse bias with the battery. This allows the current to flow from the generator to the battery but because of it being connected in reverse bias with the diode preventing the voltage from battery to be used to light up the LED. This battery is connected to a bulb which provides it with the energy to light up the bulb.

FIGURE 2:- WORKING CIRCUIT

RESULT
CASE (i) :- For low speed of the turbine the generated voltage is
low hence the intensity of glow in the bulb is low. The bulb starts glowing once the voltage reaches a value of 1.25V.

CASE (ii) :-

For high speed of the turbine the amount of voltage

generated is high so the bulb glows with a higher intensity. The bulb reaches a maximum intensity at the maximum voltage i.e. 4.1V

CONCLUSION
The amount of voltage generated was found to reach a peak of 4V. If the amount of voltage generated can be increased then this project can prove to be

very effective in the field of GREEN ENERGY. By implementing this type of mini generator systems in high rise buildings we can cut the electricity bill by a margin and also do our bit to save energy. If power generation in these systems can be increased, this technology may provide a new method to generate electricity and also save it. The concept of developing electricity directly from water pipelines is very interesting and challenging as well. With improvements in the design of the turbine, it may be possible to increase power generation rates and lower their production and operating cost.
