If this is your first time worshiping with us, we welcome you. As a church we are committed to love Jesus Christ and to share His love. We offer three services: 8:30 and 11 a.m. are traditional, and 9:45 a.m. is contemporary. Our ushers and greeters are here to serve you. Please ask them for any help you may need. ~ Our Holy Grounds Caf is a place for light refreshments, coffee, and fellowship on the first and third Sundays of the month from 8:30 a.m. - 12 p.m. in our Fellowship Hall. ~ Our Infant and Toddler Nurseries are available every Sunday from 8 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. They are located on the lower level of the church and are staffed with our full-time, professional attendants and parent volunteers. ~ Children's Church for ages four through third grade is offered at the 11 a.m. service and is guided by a parent volunteer. Children will be dismissed after the Children's Message. Please pick up your children from the lower level classrooms of the church following worship. Our Weekly News is a snapshot of activities in our church and community. The Weekly News is also posted on our website: www.esumc.net. Please make your submissions to the church office before 10 a.m. on Tuesdays. Submissions can be emailed to koney@esumc.net or brought to the church office.

Today's Organ Postlude after the 11 a.m. service will be extended to celebrate lively American music such as Sousa marches, ragtime, and songs from musical theater. Songfest - Sacred Sing-along is July 17, 3 p.m.! YOU can help - see Music Bulletin Board in Oberholtzer Hall for fliers, sponsor forms, and to sign-up as greeters, reception set up, and clean up. Fliers to print and share are also available at "Organ Programs" under Worship tab of www.esumc.net. Familiar songs will be in gospel, hymn, and contemporary styles, plus a touch of jazz. Information and Events Welcome Eileen OBrien! Eileen joins our staff as our weekday
sexton. She replaces Harvey Smith who has faithfully served for many years and has stepped down. We thank Harvey for all his contributions and in helping Eileen make a smooth transition. Coupon Savings - As a disciple we all need to be good stewards of the blessings we have been given. Jenn Trump, will be leading a coupon class Wednesday, July 6 at the church from 10 a.m. - noon. The doors open at 9:30 a.m. You will learn the basic knowledge of coupons, how to donate to organizations from your saving and how to be responsible stewards with your grocery budgets. There will also coupon swapping, FREE and open to the community, we do ask that each person bring two pantry items to be donated to the Salvation Army. Childcare provided. The Older Kids, our 65+ group, meets Monday, July 11 at 11:30 a.m. in Fellowship Hall for lunch and an informational talk on Being Safe in your home and community. Adult Summer Series - The members of the Stine Sunday School Class invite you to join them in growing deeper in faith through the Summer Satellite Series, Sundays at 9:45 a.m. from July 17-August 21. The first program you will experience is: "Unpacking a Parable" with Dr. Bill Donahue. In this program, Dr. Donahue will guide you as you seek the central truths of Jesus' parables and apply them to your own life. Together, you'll rediscover some of the most powerful parables that Jesus told to his first disciples. "Foundations," our Christian Preschool is accepting registrations for the 2011-12 school year for children ages 3-5. Our preschool is open to the entire community. Summer Breakfast and Lunch Program is available for children up to and including age 18 through August 12 at J.M. Hill Elementary School (151 East Broad St., East Stroudsburg.). Breakfast is from 8:30 9:30 a.m. and lunch is from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. There is no charge for either meal and is open to any child, no matter where you live. Coffee, Juice Cans, or Vases with a 4-inch diameter are needed for altar flower deliveries and can be dropped off in the church office. Bobby Cruse is now homebound due to health concerns. Our Homebound and Care Facility Members are always happy to be remembered by the church family. Encouraging cards or notes can be sent to Evelyn Smith, R.D. 8 Box 8806, E. Stroudsburg, Pa. 18302. Wellness Ministry Tip for Losing Weight: After breakfast, make water your primary drink! Go ahead and have your orange juice for breakfast, but for the rest of the day have water instead of juice or soda. The average American consumes an extra 245 calories a day from soft drinks. Thats nearly 90,000 calories a year or 25 pounds!

If you have not yet filled out your Commitment Card for the 2011-2012 season, take time to ask God how you should live out your life as a witness for him. Refuse to keep your gifts and talents to yourself, and commit to sharing them with others. Extra cards are available on the Information Center in Oberholtzer Hall. You can return your completed card by using the offering plate or mailing them to the church office.
