In a world increasingly indierent to Christian truth, followers of Christ
need to be equipped to communicate with those who do not speak their
language or accept their source of authority.
This summer our panel of presenters will share how you can get in the
drivers seat, keeping any conversation moving with thoughtful, artful
diplomacy. Youll learn how to maneuver comfortably and graciously
through the mine elds, stop challengers in their tracks, turn the tables
and---most importantly---get people thinking about Jesus.
The class book is available for purchased for $15 from the church library.

Loving People - Luke 10: 25-37
This three part series is a discussion of the elements of Cordovas stated
mission which is to Love God, Love People; Help People Love God. Our
mission is our calling by God to carry out a specic work in the world.
That mission is rooted in two key mandates of the Lord Jesus Christ.
The rst is the Great Commandment found in Matthew 22:34-40 and
the Great Commission found in Matthew 28:18-20. In the rst sermon
we discussed what it means to love God. This message examined what
it means to love others and explored how we can share the love of
God in a practical way.
1. Can you state the mission of the Cordova Church of Christ?
2. In the account in Luke 10, the man comes to Jesus and asks a ques-
tion about eternal life. How important do you think gaining eternal life
is for most people?
3. How important is eternal life to you? Why?
4. In verse 26, Jesus turns the question back to the man when he asks
him, What is written in the LawHow do you read it?Why do you
think Jesus did that?
5. How did the man answer Jesus question? (See verse 27.)
m| gr oup Mat er i al
6. Jesus replied, You have answered correctlyDo this and you will live. (Verse
28) Why do you think the man was not satised at that point but wanted to con-
tinue the discussion; especially after Jesus a rmed his answered?
7. What do you think it means when verse 29 says, But he wanted to justify
himself?
8. What do you think Jesus wanted to accomplish in telling the man the story?
9. What principles of loving others do you see contained in the story?
10. What are some ways that you are seeking to demonstrate love to others?
11. What are some ways that you see that Cordova is seeking to demonstrate
love to others?
