1. How to open your tool
Lightly hold the tool in your hand and press the thumb
tab to swing the pliers out. Then open each handle, one
ill time, to the extended positions. You will meet
resistance at about 45 and locking will occur when
fully extended. Complete one-hand opening can be
achieved by holding the plier heads in one hand and
opening the handles against a surface such as a pant leg.
Abreaking in period might be required to minimize
stiffness. Note: The swinging of the plier head moves the
handles apart. Never use the pliers without first closing
all of the components.
2. To close your tool
With the plier jaws _ shut and all components
completely closed into the handles, fold each handle,
one ill time, to an intermediate position. (A) This
should start to bring the handles together. Then holding
both the handles in line (or set on a flat surface),
continue to rotate the plier head into the closed position.
Adjust the handles just before they touch each other so
that the handle locking tabs interlock.
Note: the swinging of the plier head moves the handles
