MY FIRST DAY IN THE UNIVERSITY (NARRATIVE ESSAY)

Do you remember your first day in the university? Well, I remember my first day I was waiting all the summer to enter at the university. I felt excited and at the same time I was very nervous because it was my first day in the university and I didn't know any person. My first day in the university was good. I didn't know how to arrive to my classroom. I was lost and I had to ask one person about the building where I was going to take classes. This person was very nice and told me the right direction. I walked to the building, and when I arrived I saw some people and I felt strange. I approached to one girl and I asked for the classroom and we discovered that we where in the same group and I felt less nervous. I introduced myself and She also did it, her name was Yuriko. We came in the classroom and the time to start classes began. When we began our classes, all our classmates were quiet, nobody talked. the teacher arrived early. she started the class and after that we introduced ourselves. Then I saw my others classmates and I looked at two girls they were Greta and Eli. I approached with them and I talked with Greta and Eli . I introduced myself, then they did the same and we began to know more about each other, like where we were from or what we did. After that, we spent the rest of the day together until we had to go home. I am always going to remember that day because I had the opportunity to meet more people and the most important I met the best friends that I have ever had. Finally, I think that it is natural that on the first day we feel nervous, but the things always have a happy ending, that's why I say that my first day in the university was very good.

Nowadays the world is full of competition. Everybody wants to prove himself best in each and every field. Now, people have become competent. This is because of their knowledge. Some students during their university educations get knowledge by learning in classrooms while others get it by self study. It does not mater how students increase their competency and knowledge. Only result matters. If I find a choice then I would prefer classroom learning. There are many reasons behind this. These are as follows: In my view, if students go to a university and learn in a classroom setting then they can learn things very easily. This is because in classroom professors are available for guidance. They guide the students in right direction. In classroom study professors are available for teaching. They have good experience and an idea of teaching their students in the easiest way. Whenever students are unable to understand any topic, they can take the help of their professors. In this way students who have professors

can save their time. Classroom studying students can learn things quickly as compared to those who do not prefer it. In my view, students who prefer classroom study can get an idea for their job and other aspects of career. For example, many professors who have good contacts and experiences can help their students. These experiences and contacts are very helpful for guidance in right direction. Professors are also very helpful for studying material and direction. In classroom students have opportunity to discuss many ideas (like related to career and study) in groups and can know good and bad aspects of these ideas. I would like to say that classroom study is not only helpful for present situations but also for future. In classroom studies, students take the advantages not only in the study and job related areas but also in their daily lives. For example, in a classroom, students become friendly and accommodative. In my opinion, these two things are very important in life. If people have these two qualities then they can find success in life very easily, in each and every field. This is because sometimes we come in contact of good people and sometimes not. With these contacts people can know the difficulties of life and get the experience of facing these difficulties. This is not possible in self study. In a classroom, students feel joyful and get into the habit of competition as well. But in self study students are unable to make friends and life experience in its true sense. All in all I would like to say classroom study is good as compared to self study.

Studying for a degree is personally and intellectually demanding. Some people can tolerate a lot of stress, some cant. Becoming more aware of your physical and emotional reactions to stress and the effects of what you eat and drink in your energy levels and mood will help gain greater control over your life taking more responsibility is one of the best ways to successfully manage stress. Our state of mind is constantly changing and responding to either positive or negative influences in our lives and the challenging and changing situations at university can contribute to this. One view is that our mental health difficulties can be seen as a spectrum (or continuum). Most of the time, if we are lucky, positive factors will be holding us near to the well end of the mental health spectrum. Sometimes, though, the negative factors start shifting us along towards the not so well end of the spectrum. If we are aware of this and seek help in time we can shift ourselves back. Occasionally we may not be able to do this and may find ourselves near the unwell end of the spectrum. Pacing yourself is vital. Eating properly and making time to get a good night sleep regularly is crucial for staying well and enjoying oneself.
