2.2 Equations
Equation numbers, within parentheses, are to position flush right, as in Equation
numbers, within parentheses, are to position flush right, as in (2.1), using a right tab
stop. To make your equations more compact, you may use the solidus ( / ), the exp
function, or appropriate exponents. Italicize symbols for quantities and variables,
but not Greek symbols. Use a long dash rather than a hyphen for a minus sign.
Punctuate equations with commas or periods when they are part of a sentence, as in
( )

(2.1)

You may use the above and copy in your document with required editing of
equation. Note that it may require update field using right click (see Equation (2.2)
(

( )

(2.2)

Note that the equation is centred using a centre tab stop. Use (2.1), not Eq. (2.1)
or equation (2.1). However, for citation use Equation (2.1) is . . .
The text given here shows cross-referencing of the above equation, with automatic
labelling. You may the same feature for all figures, tables, sections page numbers,
etc.

6.1 REFERENCES
All reference items must be in 11 pt. font. Please use Regular and Italic styles to
distinguish different fields as shown in the References section. Number the reference
items consecutively in square brackets (e.g. [1]).

Multiple references are each

numbered with separate brackets (e.g. [2], [3], [4][6]).

Examples of reference items of different categories shown in the References section
include:

example of a book in [1]

example of a book in a series in [2]

example of a journal article in [3]

example of a conference paper in [4]

example of a patent in [5]

example of a website in [6]

example of a web page in [7]

example of a data book as a manual in [8]

example of a datasheet in [9]

example of a masters thesis in *10+

example of a technical report in [11]

example of a standard in [12]

Use appropriate tools (EndNote etc.) for inserting references and cross references.
