186-193 Copied from my Journal in the Year 1867 Cainan Interview with Mahomet While on a visit with a friend called the Stranger under the Mountains by the Mouth of Litle Cottonwood Kanyon a Voice came unto me dismiss this Stranger for one cometh of whom hear what he sayeth knowing this was not a mortals Voice I stopped the onversation with the Stranger and desired him to leave me and go to his home with some astonishment he did so and I was left alone in a wood of Cottonwood trees wondering what the Voice may mean yet it was a Voice I knew the Voice presently came again saying fear not servant of the most High we are your Freinds and immediately I was Strenthened Spiritually, the things of the Earth was fled from my understanding and a soft ineligible inveloped me some thing at a vast distance very bright was swiftly approaching me out of this bright body stepped one of beautiful countinance and Massive Stature with green garments flowing round him upon his Head a folded banner of white and green in the centre a circle of a half moon his legs were bare up to his kniee with threads of yellow bound here and there around them bending very low he came near me with a Maid Servant of the most high. I am Mahomet and before I was Mahomet I was Ishmael the Son of Abraham and Hagar. And am also a Servant of the most high to that Branch of Adams Family of the Mothers Line. At this time I am permitted to leave my Mansion in Paradise to visit with Servants of the most High now in Mortality of my visit or Messenger from the Son of May was sent to warn therefore I need not give a Sign or hand or Key of Priesthood. My raiment must show ia am another branch of Priesthood and occupy a seperate Mansion in Paradise for there are Many Mansions. Jesus Son of Mary is not divded in feeling with me. Therefore both serve the most high and by his appointment and according to the line of teaching shower us for we are dependent servants there as you are here upon the most High as my stay with you must be short I lay before you my errand of Mercy the Most High and Mericiful God grants me to deliver the people and Government of Turkey whose fathers received my Mission to them while I was in Mortality are now in dangerous state and have become in debt to many Nations Contrary to the Law and Doctrine given them and by their harsh Government over many fair and beautiful lands chiefly possessed by the Followers of Jesus Son of Mary and by many other ineligible have accused the indignation of the Powerful Governments surrounding their borders who are now planning their overthrow and destruction these nations well call upon the Sultan and his government to reform their Government and give security for their future good towards the Peoples they Govern for which they well send ministers to meet the Sultan and his Ministers to arrange a better state of things of these designs and meeting of the Nations ministers. It is our great desire the Sultan and his ministers should be appraised by me that he and they may repent and be prepared for to these Nations ineligible will be Violently angry and will declare War, a war of vengeance such as they have never known and with terrible weapons shed the Blood of Thousands sparing neighbor women or Children and terrible slaughter & suffering of Famine and cold well spread over that Land. To avert this I am come to you in mercy that you may send a missionary with my words written to the Sultan and his Government and lead the missionary present the written word to the American minister to the Sultan there is a Man who shall be pointed out to you after many Days send him let him read my words and understand my Interview with you even Mahomet let him be sent without a preparation of money and be well do it his journeying shall be protected and his wants supplied and led him ineligible the written word in the collar of his coat never looking at it after he starts on his journey until he deliver it to the American minister the Way and procedure shall be pointed out to him at the times ineligible and say unto him he shall return in safety to his country for which I Mahomet will be surety also write these my words and Council to the Sultan and his Ministers that when the Nations Ministers shall arrive in conference the Sultan and his Ministers shall meet them with

much courtesy putting aside all stubborness and pride and shall agree to the proposals the other Powers advance and you may advance objections slightly but finally agree to their suggestions and ineligible accepting their help to adjust the Nations Difficulties for those that well be sent will be men of Wisdom and would not consent to Turkeys degradations or shameful humiliation as they will be anscous to afford their help and avoid war let them bear the heavy burden of bringing about a better state of things than now ineligible for their interference will not be without cause and their anger will be oppressed and they the Nations shall feel flattered at their timely and turkey shall escape her delinquincies at their cost for no charge will be asked. Do this thou Servant of the most high not hurriedly but watch the opening time and I mahomet will be free of the threatened danger and you Cainan shall like wise be free of unconcern in the Prosperity of a Mighty Empire. When the oppurtunity was yours, this place let it be Known as my Meeting Place with you. The river passing by as the Sweet Serene Cainan bowed consent and then a pause Mahomet said my time is expired Farwell I heard now a loud rushing it seemeth of thousands of Voices the most distinctive sound was Allah Allah this proceeded from the same Body of Light that swept past taking my Visitor while I watched til I could see no more and their Voices left their memory the sweetest ever mortal heard. Almerian Grove was the Person sent and returned in safety I have lost sight of him a long time.
