Detroit PTV Put some video on You Tube
YouTube video posted around Presidential Debate; received over
40,000 views. Have 2 debates coming up in a few weeks & will do
IPTV same thing.
Web Stories place on YouTube. Starting to create channels in
KCET those areas.
Starting to upload promo videos to YouTube but hard time properly
KET branding.
Do have a presence on YouTube: 1 of their pieces on YouTube
had 40k+ views and the data they are getting back with the
KNME success rate is encouraging them to do more.
YouTube: yes, have segments of their local production “Open
Line.” Production department handles this. Segments of a couple
other productions have been postd as well (by producers
KNPB directly)and they tag with KNPB. Also posted through Max Media.
KUON - Have 48 videos up on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/netnebraska. Have received 56,000 views in the 13 months it has been up.
KVIE Youtube, yes.
MPB Pushing Wired science & grabbing video off of You Tube
Don't do much locally on YouTube though put up Artworks clip that
has received 12k views as well as Motor Weeks Huge Truck which
MPT got 10k views
Youtube: Have an account, but nothing posted. Actually contacted
NJN (WNJT): YouTube to take off video that someone had posted.
Vegas PBS Some video on YouTube (TeacherLine) via RSS feed.
Out Loud has its own You Tube channel. Will post songs that
didn't make into show (MySpace too) & promos. Only program
they use YouTube & MySpace for. Try to use to push back to their
WFSU own Web site.

not promoted or linked to
from WGBY site, rather just experimenting to see what the benefits
might be. Found great success with putting a trailer up to promote
their first local documentary; they received higher traffic than in the
WGBY past.
Local programs on Youtube YouTube experimentation: had
"Halloween Haunts" on YouTube and iTunes to promote their
WHRO Halloween special.
WHUT Put some promos on You Tube
WHYY not a lot. Half dozen pieces.
WLIW Youtube: what they keep up with the most
WMFE - Have Youtube site: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mnPGrWahv7I. Spoke with Kevin Dando and set-up account.
WPBT Yes, they have a channel on Tube,
WPSU YouTube channel where we post mostly the same videos

WTTW Tonight

Share called "e-klips." They are clips from
programming and other sources that are tied in to
SOLs. You can watch, embed in page, put in power
point presentation, and is a resource for teachers. We
know that students are familiar with the YouTube
experience so we copied their model and have about
600 clips up ranging from local content to third party
content. It's tied in to SOLs and searchable by key
word/phrases. Huge response from Weskit
(represents the school divisions they serve). Good
response from Teachers. We want to now take to

WXXI much more successful with FB.

way for them to promote the local bands through

this is great. Would like to explore more outlets for

by Wired
Science, so they started talking about Twitter
and went from there. A week later the fires
broke out and they found great success using
Twitter. They have put a Twitter feed on their
homepage and use for breaking news features,
KPBS etc.
Has experimented and set up an account with
Twitter. Looking in to utilizing Twitter at the
local film festival by promoting it that way…as
well as the Santa Fe Film Festival…will

Have blog: hard time getting people to comment. Comments

KSMQ has a blog, WQPT is contemplating. KSMQ –

NET Have a blogging page, but haven't done much with it
by CEO. Good response. He is tempted to change format
because right now have to register on Type Pad to post
comments, so may deter people. hinking that maybe the key
is not posting own blog, but have someone post on others’
KHET blogs to tell of upcoming shows etc.
Blog- part of an arts initiative. Want to launch a special arts
portal later this year- blog was stop-gap. Give a lot of good
reviews. Allow commenting, some have gotten good
KERA response with commenting back and forth.

Arts & Culture blog- hosted on WordPress. Preference would

Blog for Living St. Louis since August and started posing late
October, and getting good traction. Posting the YouTube
KETC videos to the blog.
We're developing blogs for the station, but haven't gone
live with them yet. One will be "Behind the Scenes at
NET," where staff members can talk about interesting
experiences in producing NET content. We have a crew
in Antarctica, right now, who are sending e-mails which
will be turned into blog entries. Another will be "Hot CD
Picks from NET Radio," a regular web and on-air feature
KUON by the NET Radio program director.

Have blogs, but no comments aloud. Pat Duggins does "pats

launch pad" and also has classical music previews and write
ups about shows that are in town. They put their playlist in the
WMFE blog and they get tons of hits on that.
Blogs: lots have taken off in the past year. "Movie Review,"
"Culturalist," "Commentaries," "Working Motherhood." Most
are in-house; one is outsourced. The outside blogger requires

Has a blog on local productions that are monitored by the
producers. KT suggested putting a blog feed on their
homepage for more traffic. They can do this via word press
blog so it is easy and will keep it fresh. You can drop videos
WMHT or flickr slideshows in the blog as well using word press.
Blogging: they are questioning this and experimenting with
this right now as well as they believe it has the potential to be
the most successful tool. KNME blog and Josh's blog (blogs
about what he does for public media digest). Struggling with
KNME "how much is too much to tell the viewer?"

Flickr: using to post photos from events and especially
the fire happenings in the area. Once fires hit, they

Loves Flickr and is very successful! On KQED.org they
have a general photo pool. Uses it for Quest on-air

pool. Also has "What's On Your Grill" photo submission

the HD component is being developed in Flash and he's interested in the H.264 and how that
