(Perkenalan diri sendiri)
Perkenalan secara informal tidak perlu memberikan
kalimat-kalimat pengantar seperti ( ladies and
gentlemen, dear brother and sister,good morning dll).
Tetapi lansung pada pokok tujuan.
Contoh:

2. Introducing someone else
(Memperkenalkan orang lain).
Contoh:

Dalam bahasa Inggris, bilangan terbagi menjadi dua.


Cardinal Numbers dan Ordinal Numbers. Untuk mengetahui
lebih lengkap mengenai perbedaan keduanya, mari kita lihat
pemaparannya berikut ini.
1. CARDINAL NUMBERS ( Bilangan Biasa )
Cardinal numbers adalah angka yang menyatakan berapa
banyak dari sesuatu yang ada. Cardinal numbers biasanya
digunakan untuk menjelaskan jumlah atau quantity dari sebuah
objek.

“AN”
( Penggunaan a dan an )

Kata “a” dan “an” di gunakan /di letak kan di depan nama benda,
binatang, tumbuhan atau jabatan orang tunggal yang
mengikutinya dan di artikan sebuah/seorang/seekor.
Penggunaan “a” dan “an”
“a” di gunakan di depan nama benda/binatang yang
berawalan dengan huruf konsonan( selain huruf vocal ),
yaitu : b,c,d,f,g,h,j,k,l,m,n,p,q,r,s,t,v,w,x,y,z
contoh :

a chair : sebuah kursi

“an” di gunakan di depan nama benda/binatang yang


berawalan dengan huruf vocal yaitu : a,e,i,o,u

Dalam british di kenal dengan istilah :

To : kurang
Half : setengah ( 30menit )
Quarter : seperempat ( 15 menit )

1. Waktu Tepat.
Ada 5 Cara:

- It’s eleven o’clock sharp (11.00)

- It’s exactly eleven o’clock (11.00)


- It’s eleven o’clock a. m. (Ante meridiem) (11.00)

2. Waktu Kurang menggunakan (to) dan (kata o’clock tidak di

pakai lagi)

3. Waktu Lewat (Past).

- It’s eight minutes past six (06.08).

- It’s nine minutes past five (05.09).

4. Waktu Lewat Setengah (Half Past).

5. Waktu Kurang Seperempat (A Quarter To)

keterangan waktu adalah kata “At”
Contoh:

- p.m. (Post Meridiem) digunakan sesudah
