Successfully Completed 4 months intensive technical and managerial training under Infosys Education and Research Dept (GPA 4.9/5.0) Worked on Search Platform for M/s. Sears Holding Corporation. Worked on scripting languages like Perl, Shell and ANT and databases like db2. Developed several environments for different servers to host client data. Provided technical support for SOLR Search tool and scripting.

Project Details

Successfully implemented Enterprise search for an ecommerce website (US based client) using SOLR search tool (Agile project). The tool uses java for its implementation. The search includes basic keyword search, navigational search and Geo search (Local Marketplace). We have also implemented business rules and LMP using SOLR. The data to all these sites is provided to SOLR in indexed format. The indexing of Sears Data is carried out through PERL and SHELL scripts that we created to run on a daily basis. Played key role in problem solving, project status updates, gathering performance measurements and generating positive impression that contributed appreciation from the client (working for this project since June 2009).

Honors & Award

Awarded First place for a project paper on Cardiology and methods to reduce heart attack in the All India Medical conference on Medicine during the year 2005. The Paper was also forwarded to an International conference at University of Wales, Swansea, UK. Awarded First place for a paper on Mathematics at SASTRA-05. Presented a paper on Grid-based Data Mining at National Conference on Emerging Technologies and Applications (ETA-06) organized by Computer Science Department of Saurashtra University, Rajkot jointly with Amogh-siddhi education society, Sangli on 01-10-2006. Attended a two-day camp on Leadership qualities organized by the Rotary Club International Kanchipuram at Pallavan College of Engineering from 10th Feb, 2007 to 11th Feb, 2007.
