This patch release is issued because of some errors detected in the NAPA system.

Distribution

The patch release may be downloaded from NapaNet. Enter your personal username / password in the login window in the upper right corner of Napa Ltd main page in http://www.napa.fi/. If you haven't registered to NapaNet yet, please use the "Register" link below the login window and wait for the confirmation e-mail from Customer Service to start using your account. The patch release can be found in NapaNet -> NAPA -> Downloads and Tips -> Latest Patches. This notification is published on the NapaNet Web site and sent by email to all NAPA contact persons.

Installation

The installation setup is available as a compressed zip file with the name 2010.2-4.zip. Download the file, unzip it and execute the file Setup.exe. The setup will guide you through the installation. The installation has to be done in the same location where NAPA Release 2010.2 has been installed. A shortcut to the executable file is placed on the desktop for easy access. The patch release contains a new Napa database called napadb102-4.db. The patch release should first be installed on the NAPA Server computer. On the client computers there are two alternatives. Either run the installation setup on each client or manually create a shortcut icon pointing to the executable file on the NAPA server. If a shortcut is made manually it must be set to start in the folder Napa (not bin\20102 where the executable is located).

List of corrected errors The patch release contains the following error corrections: 1373 ER: The buoyancy distribution and thereby the longitudinal strength results were incorrect in some special cases involving shelf grounding and damage cases where compartments with variable permeability are damaged. CR: Calculations based on an external GZ curve (GZCUR argument) failed for criteria checks including relevant openings. ST: In case more than 1000 plates are generated on one single surface object, the plate generation fails. As a result e.g listing of block weights might show incorrect results due to missing plates. The limitation of 1000 plates is still present in this patch release but when the plate generation fails, a clear message is now given to the user and list output (LIST PLA, LIST BLO, LIST STP and LIST STE, LIST STS including qualifier P) is not produced in order to prevent listing of incorrect results.
