OLED Association Members Novaled, AG and Universal Display Corporation to Showcase Transparent/Flexible Lighting and Display Products at the

Digital Experience January 5, 2011 LAS VEGAS, Jan. 5, 2011 The OLED Association (OLED-A) is highlighting new OLED display products, and innovative OLED lighting designs at the Digital Experience 2011 in Las Vegas. With products and prototypes from member companies from Asia, Europe, and North America, OLED-A is providing the media attending Digital Experience with a glimpse of the organic electronic future. In 2010 OLED production reached a level of maturity that exceeded 30M displays and is projected to grow by three times in 2011 said Barry Young, managing director, OLED Association. In addition to displays, there is great excitement in the lighting community, where OLED panels are demonstrating high luminous efficiency, warm color performance and a range a form factors, heretofore, unattainable by other lighting technologies. OLED Association members will be demonstrating these new devices: y Novaled AG a pioneer in the field of OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) technologies for lighting and display applications - will be introducing its innovative long life organic LEDs.These new area light sources deliver unique design possibilities, and enable completely new lighting applications by emitting light from a surface. In addition, Novaled OLEDs provide a very high quality light with a CRI of up to 95. A range of OLED lighting from warm white to clear cold white will be exhibited. The OLED devices which are manufactured on glass and metal substrates are extremely thin, lightweight and come in various sizes from 25 cm2 up to 100 cm2 active area. Novaled will show a 'plug n play' luminaire with 5 transparent 10x10 cm modules on glass and a touch sensor on/off switch. Universal Display a leading OLED technology development company for displays and lighting will highlight a variety of technology and product prototypes that rely on its proprietary UniversalPHOLED technology and materials for low power consumption and eco-friendliness. The company will exhibit a flexing 4 diagonal, full-color AMOLED that is built on flexible metallic foil in collaboration with LG Display and L-3 Communications Display Systems. In addition, the companys Transparent Lighting Origami will be showcased. With the need for more energy efficient white lighting, the company will also exhibit white OLED 6 x 6 lighting panels with recordbreaking power efficiency and lifetime as well as pleasing white spectral characteristics.

Also on display will be the LG Display 15 diagonal AMOLED TV, available in Europe and Asia plus examples of the latest in AMOLED smart phones and handhelds.

Contact information for these and all member companies is available at www.oleda.org. About the OLED Association (OLED-A) OLED-A provides a forum for the interchange of technical and market information. Its membership includes companies involved in small-molecule OLED technology and polymer technology (PLED or light-emitting polymers), as well as supporting technologies, as well as companies incorporating OLED displays and light sources into their products. OLED-A serves its membership by fostering the more rapid development of OLED technology and OLED products; serving as a resource on OLED markets and products for media and investors; functioning as a catalyst in the development of standards for OLEDs; and providing a forum to promote and market OLED technology products.
