Learning Tasks Task 2.1

Give three examples for each type of research, then state the type for your own research

1. Researchs for the purpose.

1. Basic Research. In other words, it is culled pure research, this investigation help us to increase our understanding of fundamental principles, generating new ideas and theories. Here we can detect the causes and effects of the problem.

Henry Ford (July 30, 1863 April 7, 1947) was a prominent American industrialist, the founder of the Ford Motor Company, and sponsor of the development of the assembly line technique of mass production. Karl Friedrich Benz, (November 25, 1844 April 4, 1929) was a German engine designer and car engineer, generally regarded as the inventor of the gasoline-powered car, and together with Bertha Benz pioneering founder of the automobile manufacturer MercedesBenz. Alexander Graham Bell (3 March 1847 2 August 1922) was a scientist, inventor and British pathologist. He contributed to the development of telecommunications and aviation technology. Christopher Columbus was a Navigator, cartographer, Admiral, Viceroy and Governor General of India in the service of the Crown of Castile, famous for having made the discovery of America in 1492.

2. Applied Research The applied research is considerate as a researchrelated the generation of knowledge in the form of theory and methods that it is estimated that in a short period might result in applications to the productive sector. It is the use of the knowledge in practice, to implement them, in most cases, for the benefit of society. An example is clinical research protocols. This relates to the previous one, because it depends on the discoveries and advances of pure research and enriched them. In contrast to the pure, it pursues ends of application direct and immediate. Search the application on a circumstantial fact before the development of theories. This research seeks to learn to do and act.

2. Researchs for the level of knowledge.

1. Exploratory Research.Exploratory research is a type of research conducted for a problem that has not been clearly defined. Exploratory research helps determine the best research design, data collection method and selection of subjects. It should draw definitive conclusions only with extreme caution. The objective of exploratory research is to gather preliminary information that will help to define problems and suggest hypotheses

AIDS research being carried out, but so far not discovered against. Many conferences have been realized with high school students to avoid unwanted pregnancies, and so far not taken consciousness by adolescents. Authorities did many campaigns about recycling of garbage in Quito, but so far the citizens don't understand the advantages of recycling.

2. Descriptive Research: Descriptive research, also known as statistical research, describes data and characteristics of the population or phenomenon under study. Descriptive research answers the questions: who, what, where, when and how. The objective of descriptive research is to describe things, such as attitudes of the people.
y

Carry out a census of population, in order to obtain data about how many people inhabit a region that can be a country, province or State. To determine certain characteristics which are public schools in a given country, in order to improve them or know that issues can be modified. To determine the preferences of the inhabitants of a city by certain television programs.

3. Explanatory Research. This kind of researchprovides comprehension of a situation. The objective of this exploratory research is to gather preliminary information that will help define problems and suggest hypotheses (who, what, where, when, how often, how many, etc)

3. Researchs for the used means.

1. Documentary Research.Documentary Research with a variety of scientific researches, whose fundamental objective is the analysis of different phenomena (historical, psychological, sociological, etc.), uses

2. Field Research. It is the activity of search that is characterized by thoughtful, systematic and methodical; its purpose is to obtain knowledge and solve technical problems philosophical, scientific or empirical, and is developed through a process.

How is structured the universal company? What sales policies have pronaca? How are structured different departments of an educational institution

3. Experimental Research. It's applied research to understand and solve some situation, need or problem in a given context. The researcher working in the natural environment in which living persons and sources, that they will get the most relevant data to be analyzed, they are individuals, groups and representations of non-experimental scientific organizations aimed to discover relationships and interactions between educational, psychological and sociological variables in real, everyday social structures.

I would like to know some results of the chemistry laboratory. Examine the strength of the Earth to grow some plants. Calculate the structural part of a four store building.

The research of my project is especially Exploratory research is conducted into an issue or problem where there are few or no earlier studies to refer to. The focus is on gaining insights and familiarity for later investigation. Secondly, descriptive research, because it describes phenomena as they exist, here data is often quantitative and statistics applied. I'm going to use, identify and obtain information on a particular problem or issue. Finally causal or predictive research because it seeks to explain what is happening in a particular situation: It aims to generalize from an analysis by predicting certain phenomena on the basis of hypothesized general relationships.

What are the data collections tools you would use in a research? , explain why of your choice, and establish a set of questions for a survey or questionnaire you will use in your research. SURVEY FOR STUDENTS IN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE DEFECTION IN STUDENT RESEARCH. Dear student, the goal of the next survey is getting to know the causes of dropping out of students in primary, secondary, or universities in the country in order to make a proposal that will benefit the institutions, the curriculum and students. For this reason I ask to fill the following survey with greater sincerity and responsibility. Full name ... Age Date .

1. Family income level Low.......... Medium............ high 2. With whom do you live? . 3. Who pays your studies? . 4. List the main reasons that did you decide to study? . 5. Do you feel satisfied with your studios? Yes ____No____ for that? 6. The economic factors motivated your retirement from the program? Yes ____No____ for that? .. 7. Do you think that the academic performance had to do with the desertion of the program? Yes ____No____ for that? . 8. It was attended by the family support for the study in the curriculum? Yes ____No____ for that? .. 9. Were you accompanied and motivated by your teachers? Yes ____No____ for that? ............................................................ 10. Your classmates had to see with the decision and dropping out the program? Yes ____No ____ for that? ........................................................... 11. Write down any other cause which has led to the abandonment of the program? 12. What program did you change? .. Why .. Thank you for your cooperation.

I selected a SURVEY, because a survey is an observational study in which the researcher does not alter the environment nor controls the process that is under observation (as in this case the student dropout). Data is obtained from making a set of standardized questions to a representative sample or the overall statistical study population, often formed by individuals, companies or entities institutional, in order to hear statements of opinion, features, or specific facts. The researcher must choose more appropriate questions, according to the nature of the research.

These surveys are used to measure the relationship between demographic, economic and social variables. Assess demographic as errors, omissions and inaccuracies statistics. Deeply know patterns of demographic variables and their associated factors such as fertility, migration, in this case to know the causes for the student drop-out. Periodically evaluate the results of a running program. Know the opinion of the public about a particular topic.

Advantages of a survey
Low-cost More accurate information It is possible to make objective scientific methods of measurement to correct errors. Faster results. Most widely used technique that allows almost any type of population information. Great ability to standardize data, thus allowing its computer processing and statistical analysis.

Disadvantages of a survey
The planning and execution of the research is usually more complex than if undertaken by census. It requires for its design of professionals with good knowledge of theory and skill in their implementation. It is necessary to give a margin of reliability of the data,

4.6 GLOSSARY Project. All projects have sponsors - people who see a need for change and have
the authority to make something happen. Without them, the project would not have been proposed. Make sure that you understand who the real sponsors are and check that they do have the authority to propose the project and the commitment to make it succeed. If they are not the right people, you probably need to identify further sponsors who have that authority and commitment.

Dropping out of school
"Drop" Theoretical framework * Definition * Related articles * Views * Surveys conducted and graphic * Bibliographic sources The drop is corresponds to the temporary or definitive abandonment which operates a subject, with regard to his formal studies, whether they are primary or secondary; caused by various reasons whether political, economic, family, motivational, among others. It an educational problem that affects the development of the society, and given mainly by lack of financial resources and family disintegration. Another definition of school drop-out is total or partial abandonment of school education. There are several reasons that present the defection. Including the most common are the economic factor, a community environment that does not encourage formal education, poor performance, lack of motivation by the student and family environments little flattering. It is necessary to return to the theme of adolescence as we went to a Community (the spring hills) where our field of study and research is a high school, full of young adolescents. Every teenager has its particular history, as well as all persons. The two most important in adolescence tasks are the construction of identity and the life project. Before taking a role of adult adolescent is prepared through games and fantasies. It plays to take risks, play, above all, to be large, much before being such. For Piaget the fundamental task of adolescence is to achieve the inclusion in the world of adults. The teenager wants to feel big, independent owner of the world. The mourning parents allow rid of them as the object of love, as ideal and as the authority and look for new objects outside the family circle.
It is necessary to take into account the attitudes of adolescents; an attitude denotes the Organization of the feelings...
