California High-Speed Rail Initial Operating Segment

My Proposal is to have Merced to Palmdale completely built with new HSR infrastructure, including new stations at Merced, Fresno, Kings/Tulare, Bakerseld, and Palmdale. This infrastructure would be linked into current lines used by Amtrak's San Joaquin and Pacic Suriner and also LA Countys Metrolink service to create a oneseat trip from the Bay Area and Sacramento to Southern California stops in LA, Anaheim, and San Diego. This proposal would require buying trains that could achieve 150 mph and the upgraded track and slow down to 80 mph on non-upgraded track. Here's a breakdown of potential stations, estimated times, and the schedule.
